Sometimes you just do not have a lot of time to cook! This cornbread recipe tastes like you did just that, spent time cooking! By using some quick shortcuts (like a basic cornbread mix), you can bake up some delicious SW Virginia Cheesy Cornbread in no time at all. Slather it with honey and butter and enjoy!

OPTION – You can leave out the chilis and replace with 1/4 cup half-n-half.

INGREDIENTS
– 1 pkg of Martha White Sweet Yellow Cornbread & Muffin Mix
– 1 8.25 oz Sweet Corn Cream Style
– 1 4oz can chopped green chilis (I used medium heat)
– 1 egg
– ½ cup shredded cheese (Jack, Cheddar or Mexican Blend)

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Mix all ingredients by hand in a bowl till blended.

Either butter or spray with non-stick spray an 8×8” baking dish. Cook for 30 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Enjoy!

Of our New Year’s Day Feast it is a cornbread made with cheese and jalapenos it’s super fast super easy and I have all my things ready do you have yours okay like I always say let’s get cooking all right we have our mix here and like I said this is super easy

We are going to add our cream corn we have one egg we have one can of chopped green chilies you can make these as hot as you want mine happen to be mild and about half a cup of shredded cheese mine is a Mexican blend and then we’re just going to mix this Up there is no need for milk because the cream cheese and the chilies add enough liquid to do this perfect all right I have my dish I’ve spiked it with butter I’m going to pour This into a buttered dish I’m going to pop this into the oven at 400° for 30 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean all right I’ll see you back here at the Counter hey everybody I’m back our cornbread is done it turned out and smells amazing and here is our entire New Year’s Feast this is what my husband and I will be eating this on New Year’s Day um we are so happy that you’ve joined us um this don’t forget this is
