Welcome back to serving up simplicity today I’m going to show you how to make homemade meatballs it’s a pretty simple recipe and I love to make these ahead and freeze them in bags and then we pull them back out to make homemade meatball subs but you can also use them for

Spaghetti and meatballs or if you just like to have meatballs as a side you could add a sauce to them and that would be good too to make the meatballs are going to need about 1.25 pounds of either ground beef or ground turkey if you use ground beef make sure to get the

Lender ground beef see they don’t shrink so much when you bake them I did use turkey that’s what we prefer also you’ll need about 16 ounces of ground sausage 1 egg Italian breadcrumbs alien season and we did make um subset of ours and so for that I did use some mozzarella cheese

And some spaghetti sauce a pack of hokey rolls you want to start by getting the baking pan out covering temple and I do like to spray it with nonstick spray just so that they don’t stick so much when I pull them out the oven later pre-heat your oven to 350

After you make sure mean it really well and get it all blended together go ahead and add one egg and add Italian seasoning to taste start it by adding about a cup of breadcrumbs and you’ll probably have to end up add more but you should be able

To tell by the consistency after you get it mixed up I started rolling my meatballs up but then I realized the consistency just still wasn’t quite where it needed to be so I added some more breadcrumbs after you get all your meatballs rolled out put them in the oven and like I said

I did bake them on 350 and it only took between 20 to 30 minutes I think more around 20 for this batch but just check your meatballs you can stick a toothpick in them to make sure the juice runs clear I always just like to be certain

Though so you will notice that one of my meatballs is cut in half because I did just couldn’t have to make sure that it was done all the way through so I got two bags of Meatballs and these fries really well when you get ready to use them after they’re frozen

All you do is take them out of the bag put them on a plate or dish and cover them with a paper towel and microwave them between one to two minutes so when we use our meatballs for homemade meatball subs I did butter my hoagie rolls and I toasted those first

On 350 for about 5 minutes just long enough to kind of get that butter melted and get that bread toasted a little bit next out of the spaghetti sauce and just kind of wipe down one good side and I had already that defrosted these meatballs and warmed them up in the

Microwave for us said the 1 to 2 minutes place the defrosted meatballs on top of the sauce finally top with mozzarella cheese and toast them again in the oven on 350 for another five to ten minutes or until the cheese is melted in gulping alright guys

So this is how our homemade meatball sub turned out they’re really good and they’re really easy to make even for beginners this is just something that’s super easy and then just really versatile that you can pull out the freezer later and use for so many different things for a quick meal a
