– I’m gonna show you (upbeat music) how to make salami cups or salami bites, whatever you wanna call them. This is the perfect party appetizer. Let’s get started. You’ll need a standard-sized muffin tin and make sure you’re using four-inch wide salami. Anything thinner and the cups will be too small to fill.

Set the salami over the holes of your muffin tin and just push it in with your fingers. This process goes even faster if you use a small jar to push the salami into the cups. Now, bake in the center of a preheated oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for seven to nine minutes,

And the timing will really depend on how thick your salami is. Be careful not to burn it. It’s done when the salami is crisp at the edges and holds its shape. Once it’s out of the oven, transfer it to a paper towel-lined cooling rack. Now, there are so many ways to fill this.

I love doing it antipasto style. So we’re combining some fresh tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, some marinated artichoke, canned bell pepper, my favorite Kalamata olives, and some fresh basil. Then drizzle everything with a little bit of extra virgin olive oil. Since the salami is already salty,

The key here is not to add any extra salt and make sure your fillings are not too salty. Stir that all together and it’s time to fill our salami cups. Divide the filling evenly between your salamis, and it should be about a heaping tablespoon in each cup.

This is where you’ll be really glad you used four-inch salami slices. Anything smaller and it’s impossible to fill. These are almost too pretty to eat, almost. This is an easy make-ahead appetizer that’s perfect for parties. Mm. Find the recipe for these salami bites on natashaskitchen.com.

  1. This looks sooooo good! I love pepperoni. I would love to try and find pepperoni that's this size to make it with that. Add it to the list!😊

  2. Hey Natasha, my mom of Italian descent would have loved these. She used to put out antipasto for Christmas Eve with salami, mozzarella, pepperoncini, capers, green olives etc. All of the tangy Italian faves. Just plates, load up! Thanks for the memory! I hope you and your family have a wonderful happy new year!!
