A lot of people gripe that eating plant based will jack up grocery bills higher than if they were buying meat and dairy and I personally haven’t seen a significant jump in contrast. This time last year my grocery bill was easily 200+ a week and that was with minimal dairy as I didnt drink milk and barely consumed cheese and icecream as they are harder on my intestines and worse on my skin

Granted I clearly found some deals (2.99 strawberries that are not moldy is a godsend in the Arctic even if they’re going directly to the freezer)

Have you noticed or tracked your grocery expenses since switching to a plant based diet? Honestly even with waste (some veg going bad and having to toss) I’m still coming out ahead. This is kind of a smaller order for me.

I have an old photo of what 255$ in groceries when I had to factor in some extra cooking for the holiday season when I ate an omivore diet and honestly it did not last as long as I hoped. Unfortunately the photo is on a broken phone
