Homemade pies so we are going to do a coconut cream pie and a chocolate pudding pie filling so as you see see I already have my pie crust already made up I have did a video I think it was one of my very first videos I did with a

Pumpkin pie and then we made some hand pies to go along with that but I didn’t show you how you pre-bake the pie crust if you’re going to add a coconut cream pie or a pudding pie or a pie that doesn’t need to be baked in the oven

With the shell so that’s what we’re going to do today I am using a different recipe for pie crust my husband said the other one didn’t quite taste like Grandma’s don’t take that as criticism I want to Perfection what I do make things better all the time so I’m

Going to try something different this pie crust was a little bit more difficult to roll out and put in the pie pan as you can see I kind of filled it together where it cracked on me when I make a pie I want it to look pretty as well so what we’re going

To do is we’re going to Fork the bottom of the pie shell here I do have the oven preheat the 325 I have some parment paper I’m going to crinkle up we’re going to put it over the pie shell I do have the precut you can use

The regular if you want to it probably would work better with something like this and then what I’m going to do is you got to have weight in your pie shell because when you’re baking this you don’t want the pie shell to poof up and get little bubbles in

It so we’re going to weigh it down with just some navy beans make sure that’s nice and full we do the second second one here get that nice and crinkled all right so and when I cook the navy beans in here I can reuse them there’s nothing wrong with them they’re

Just being cooked in the oven I can use them for Soups or whatever I want all right so we’ll get this on a cookie tray and I’m going to bake these at 3:25 for about 20 minutes then I’ll check them remember everybody’s oven is different so yours might take longer you might

Have to turn the heat up or it might take less time we’ll see you back in 20 minutes okay guys we’re back we are at the oven I hope you can see everything okay I want to try to do a coconut cream pie first of all we are going to get

The pie crust out of the oven see what they look like see if I can get these beans off here without burning myself and I’m going to put these back in the oven for about 5 or 10 minutes get these out of the way all

Right so we also we also have to get A3 cup of I got a pie shell on that pan thir cup of coconut sprinkle it on here we’re going to toast some coconut for the top of this pie I’m not going to make a marine this calls for a marine I

Have not conquered that yet so I’m just going to put this down here I’m going to set my timer wherever she may be and she’s lost oh here she is let’s go about 7 minutes so now in this pan we’re going to prepare the filling so I

Do have directions I’m not going to follow it totally but mostly I’m going to so I need to prepare the filling combined a half a cup of sugar and then I need the salt which is a teaspoon of salt milk and again I’ll have this Linked In the descriptions I’m not seeing the

Measurements I apologize for that and then I have some coconut milk I’m going to turn that on get a whisk and my cornstarch we’ll whisk this together here we’re going to let this thicken up we’re going to try to get it to to bubble on us for us I should say and

Thicken up all right see how that’s thickening up really nicely we’re going to go ahead and turn this down a little bit I’m going to go ahead and take and it’s boiling my pie crusts are going to be done at the same time so what I’m going

To do is I’m going to take some of this mixture out of here and pour my eggs in here you want to kind of do it separately cuz if you do it over the stove you’re going to have scrambled eggs so we’re going to whisk this together really quick give this a nice

Stir it’s really thickening up nicely there guys I’m going to get a spatula I’m going to pour this yummy back in here I’m going to go ahead and turn my stove off get the rest out of here going to whisk This Together get that stuff Incorporated and

Cooked up I’m going to give that a minute to cook out of the oven let those babies cool for a minute all right so so they set about a minute to stir this so we’re going to go ahead and take this put it on a hot p over

There I want to get this off the stove here so it’ll cool for me fast pce guys fast pce don’t want to burn nothing I still have my coconut in there and I got a oh I got a little toasty so we’ll we’ll get that in just a

Minute all right so let’s shut this off we are going to add the butter and a teaspoon of vanilla oh maybe a little more get this stirred in there real quick we’re going to let this set for just a minute now and we’re going to take

This and we’re going to pour it says you’re supposed to put it over an ice bath I did not do it the last last time so I’m just going to let it cool like this all right so we’re going to give this a few minutes to cool and then I

Got to put some Saran Wrap over it put it in the refrigerator for an hour but don’t leave cuz we got a chocolate cream pie we’re going to make give me just a minute we are going to do chocolate pudding pie filling guys we have some corn starch it says to

Mix all the ingredient dry ingredients first all right we have 1 and 1 E cup of sugar and some salt one teaspoon coco powder half2 cup we’re going to whisk this around get all those ingredients mixed in there all nice and pretty we are going to add in 3 cups of

Milk turn my fire on get powder all over my stove all over all right we’re going to whisk and a whisk and a whisk and a whisk going to turn this down just a little bit just try to get that butter melted in there I also need 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of

Vanilla now these pies are not for us these are actually a gift that we’re going to be giving away to an office crew here in town get that butter melted in there this just takes a matter of minutes you guys and it’ll start thickening right up on you if I keep it

Stirred see I got some clumps of cocoa mix in there or cocoa I want to try to get them flattened out try to keep it from sticking to the bottom of the pan you don’t want to burn it starting to thicken up see that this pie I’ve made this two or

Three times this is so good so rich all right here we go it’s just rereading the recipe and it says I was supposed to wait to add the butter and the vanilla I think it’ll be okay and I think I think I did that the last time

Too I’m going to do this for about 1 minute going turn it down some more it’s getting pretty thick all right it’s been about a minute so I’m going to try to get it in that pie shell without making too much of a mess or burning myself

Okay let this thicken up I’m going to go ahead and put this raran wrap on this now and we will put this in the refrigerator for about an hour all right guys we going to get this in the refrigerator we’re going to let this cool I’m going to clean up my mess

One now you can put them on here but like I said I haven’t conquered a marine yet so oh yummy doesn’t that look so pretty and these are not for us we are giving these away to an office around our area here and then we remember that coconut we put in the

Oven sprinkle some on top to make it look pretty you can also do some almonds if you want to toasted almonds that would be really good on top as well all right guys we are set I’m going to get the lids on these get them in the refrigerator and I will deliver them
