Akoya, Ladbroke Grove

To keep me entertained I’ve started a new series where I try and visit a restaurant based on every country but the catch is they all have to be located within London 👀
Some countries will definitely be more difficult than others and this has to be a challenge I stick with this time 🤡 so without further distractions let’s get going 🤪

Starting with Lebanon 🇱🇧 and the restaurant is @akoyaldn which is located in Ladbroke Grove. Lebanese food has always been a favourite of mine and this restaurant definitely didn’t disappoint 🤤

➡️ What we ordered:

🟢 Fattoush £8.75
🟢 Falafel £6.95
🟢 Prawn Tempura £6.95
🟢 Mixed Grill £19.95
🟢 Lychee Virgin Mojito £6.95

➡️ Taste 🥘🍹

I loved how fresh everything tasted 😋 Fattoush is one of the best salads and this one was made really well! The sauces that came with the Falafel and the prawn tempura really complimented the food. Also I love lychee and can’t go wrong with a virgin lychee mojito 🤩 the taste of the drink definitely exceeded expectations. And, ofc, saving the best till last, the mixed grill 🤤 flavours of the chicken and lamb were delicious, I especially loved that none of the meat was dry and the kebab also had a good amount of spice. I also loved the Lebanese rice as a side, 10/10 from me. None of the food was bland, the only drawback would be the portion size of the mixed grill was probably smaller than what you’d usually get for £20 but it still was more than enough for two of us to share along with the sides we ordered. Overall, nothing to fault with taste, and I’d go back just to eat their rice again 🤪

➡️ Setting🌄

It’s clear from the reel that the restaurant has a beautiful aesthetic and it’s definitely a great photo spot. As the sun was out on the rooftop terrace it was a lovely place to sit and wasn’t cold at all. However, they do provide blankets in case it’s a freezing day. Loved their unique trainer tree and the flowery decor!

➡️ Service 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

We were seated straight away, the food arrived quickly and they were all very helpful throughout.

Overall, a beautiful restaurant I can’t really fault, I definitely recommend visiting ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
