Hi it’s Warren Hampton here’s my latest recipe on how to cook a chocolate cake in the microwave and this cake will make enough to serve at least eight people to start with get yourself a mixing bowl and then sieve in a hundred and ninety grams worth of plain flour and then two

Tablespoons worth of cocoa powder now sieve in 1 teaspoons worth of bicarbonate of soda and 1 teaspoons worth of baking powder followed by pouring in 150 grams worth of caster sugar now combine all these dry ingredients together and then make a well in the middle and then pour in 2

Beaten eggs now pour in 150 milliliters worth of milk and 150 milliliters worth of sunflower oil then add 2 tablespoons worth of golden syrup now thoroughly mix all of the ingredients together until you’re left with a nice smooth mixture now take a cake dish let’s microwave

Safe and then pour in half of the mixture then place into the microwave on full power or 800 watts for 5 minutes do this twice using the other half of the mixture for both halves of the cake and remember for hundreds of my cooking videos be sure to subscribe to my

Channel by clicking on the link on-screen once done remove from the microwave and check each half of the cake is cooked through leave to stand for a few minutes and then carefully remove the cake from the cake dishes by turning them upside down and then placing onto a wire rack to cool thoroughly

And in the meantime we can prepare the icing for the cake so take 50 grams worth of butter that’s been melted and then sieve in four tablespoons worth of cocoa powder then mix the ingredients until nice and smooth and then place back into the microwave on medium power

For about a minute and a half add 150 grams worth of sifted icing sugar to the bowl along with two tablespoons worth of milk and it thoroughly mix the ingredients together when lovely and smooth leave the icing to stand until thickened and then we can begin spreading the icing onto the cake start

By spreading a thin layer of icing on the top of one of the halves of sponge then place the other half on top sandwiching the icing in between next put the rest of the icing on top of the cake spreading evenly and going all the way up to the edges and finally finish

The cake off with a dusting of icing sugar and there you have it that’s how to make a really quick chocolate cake in the microwave that also tastes great
