You may not have a grill or the weather may not be cooperating, but you can still revel in this childhood favorite, and it’s a brilliant way to make s’mores for a crowd. Also brilliant: melted chocolate is spread on both of the graham crackers for each s’more, so the chocolate envelops the marshmallow with each bite.

Ingredients

  • Oil for baking sheet
  • 36 graham crackers (to make your own, see recipe here)
  • 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted
  • 18 large marshmallows

    6 to 9 servings

    Preparation

    1. Preheat broiler. Cover small baking sheet with foil, and lightly oil the foil.
    2. Put graham crackers top side down on a cutting board or another baking sheet. Slather each graham cracker with chocolate.
    3. Put marshmallows on the foil-covered baking sheet, and broil a few seconds, until tops are browned. Turn over to brown the other side.
    4. Put a toasted marshmallow on half of the chocolate-coated graham crackers. Top each with another graham, chocolate side down, and serve.
