Kinda weird when a show about booze and food gives you something you can actually eat everyday, huh? This recipe is loaded with goodness from the 70 grams of protein to the low 9 grams of fat! Better yet, we’re not sacrificing any flavor when we substitute our the ricotta cheese for our own cheese mixture. So buckle up a few more notches cause we’re getting your waist snatched for the summer!

Anything can be made healthy applesauce instead of oil and baking cuts out the calories without sacrificing texture and flavor use whole whe English muffins instead of bagels for a boost in protein fiber and energy hell even spinach and a crack pipe might do a little something today on PO choices we’re cutting the

Calories and fat with this healthy and very delicious lasagna it makes six servings and packs of whopping 70 g of protein best part about it is you won’t miss all the bad stuff that makes lasagna good I promise that and you won’t be left starving so get ready to

Put them jeans on from before quarantine again because we are eating the good kind of good starting out we need 2 lbs of extra lean ground beef this was 96 for ground beef you can use ground turkey if you’d like but I imagine at this point you’re already eating a lot

Of turkey and chicken so let’s switch up the flavors plus beef has a little more protein and less cholesterol than ground turkey so there’s that too but either protein works here get you a nice hot Skillet and hit it with a little cooking spray using the spray versus oil here

Will save a lot of calories because oil can add an extra 100 to 200 calories if you’re heavy-handed like I am so into that hot Skillet we’ll place our 2 lbs of meat and I’m going to let it sit untouched for about a minute or so this

Is to help get a little myard reaction which is that extra Browning on meats that adds extra flavor and with beef you’ll definitely notice the difference while the first side is down I’ll hit the top with a mix of onion powder garlic powder salt and pepper no real

Measurements here just eyeballing it you can also bring in some Italian seasonings here like oregano thyme or a blend after about a minute or two depending on how High the heat actually is we’ll flip our meat and then begin breaking it up you can also let it

Develop some more color on the other side if you want to but one side is good enough for me for this recipe break up the meat and let it continue to cook through add some more additional seasonings too I know you’re used to measurements but just think of this as

Like making spaghetti and how you normally would eyeball seasonings there once the meat has just cooked through I’ll add in a 20 oz jar of pasta sauce this is a roasted garlic sauce from whole foods but you can use any sauce and honestly you should use whatever

Your favorite is or spring a little change and get a really nice sauce because remember the sauce is going to carry a lot of the flavor here so going cheap and bland is going to make you pay the price when it comes to flavor later and then you’ll be mad at me talking

About healthy lasagna is nasty when it’s really not I’m also adding in a 1/8 cup of calabrian peppers that have been diced up this will add some amazing flavor and some heat to the dish mix everything up lower the heat and let it all simmer for about 10 minutes maybe

Even 15 we want the sauce to thicken up some so it’s not a soupy mess in our lasagna give it a taste and see if it needs anything else maybe some more salt some more Italian seasonings let your tongue guide you now for the filling

Okay so let me say some things I do not like cottage cheese and I do not like Greek yogurt but mixed together with some mozzarella in this dish oh my God it’s amazing it gives you the texture of ricot cheese without any of the fat you get extra protein and I can’t Rave

Enough about the flavor I was skeptical of this at first but when I tried it I was hooked all the right flavor is there so trust me it’s all going to be good so to a bowl I’m adding in a 16 oz container of lowfat cottage cheese and

Two 5 oz containers of non-fat Greek yogurt and off to the side I’ve got two bags of fat-free mozzarella and I’m going to put a good handful from one bag into that cheese mix along with a tablespoon of grated Parmesan you can do two if you want to that mozzarella and

Parmesan are going to give us the flavor that we need FYI I found this uh fat-free mozzarella at Walmart I’m also rolling up a few leaves of fresh basil and chopping them up and adding them into the cottage cheese Greek yogurt mixture give everything a stir and then

Lastly I did add in some more garlic powder maybe like a teaspoon worth and the basil is going to give us some fresh herbiness as well as uh you know some leafy green you could do spinach if you want to but I prefer basil so now we

Assemble preheat your oven to 350° and in a 13×9 casserole dish we’ll first lay down a thin layer of our meat sauce now we’re just going to build this like a regular lasagna then we’re going in with some oven ready lasagna noodles you can boil some if you want but this is all

About eish efficiency here so I’m laying three down with some spaces in between each then like two big dollops of our cheese mix on each one the first few times you might misjudge how much you need for each layer but don’t worry it all bakes together and tastes great

Spread out the cheese mix on the noodles then hit each with some of that fat-free mozzarella I go bu handfuls here then a layer of meat top with a second layer of lasagna noodles then cheese mix mozzarella cheese more meat and here’s where you can finish off whatever you

Have again we’re trying to portion out evenly among all the layers but it doesn’t matter if you have anything left over just plop it all on top then into a 350° oven for 25 minutes it goes in that time get yourself six containers ready I like to separate the sheets into three

Sections first when I get it out the oven and then divide each section into two halves I don’t obsess over making sure each one is perfectly even as far as weight and stuff goes because at the end of the week you’re just going to hit your macro girls anyways my macros for

This recipe was 483 calories total 31 G of carbs 9 G of fat and 70 g of protein now you might be like that’s impossible but remember lean meat and we cut out a lot of fat with the cottage cheese and non-fat Greek yogurt as well as that

Mozzarella that was fat-free also if you’re tracking this stuff like I was in my fitness pal you may find your numbers a little over or a little under depending on the brands of the stuff that you use but generally you’re going to come in around these numbers so once

You got everything divvied up into six containers make sure you let them cool a little bit before you pop them into the fridge and then enjoy over the course of the next 6 days and because I am still in the midst of my dry January I don’t

Have a poor choices other than just make sure you all are drinking a lot of water stay hydrated okay get your electrolytes um if you have uh issues with feeling hungry if you’re on a diet like sparkling water can do a lot for you just filling you up and making you feel

Um content but I’m telling you these are pretty big servings considering like how little damage they’re going to do to you so yeah enjoy and as you you always know we have a patreon link down in the description $1 a month is all we ask for

It helps pay for recipes in these here inflated times and I’m definitely going to look up some more uh recipes for you all some healthy takes on things to pass that on to you with hopefully my own takes on them again this is a recipe I

Discovered early last year and I was so blown away by it so I decided just to switch up a few things on it but this is so easy so quick to make you can make it in like 45 minutes um and you’re going to be very very happy that you can have

Lasagna on your diet so enjoy and I’ll see you back here soon
