welcome to Bologna Italy foodie Heaven I promiseĀ you and in this video we’re going to show you whatĀ Ā to eat and where to eat in this amazing smallĀ intimate beautiful Food City let’s go 5 minutes into arriving we already saw thatĀ this city is so much about food all theseĀ Ā
Narrow streets like this one behind me with foodĀ shops with restaurants so many restaurants soĀ Ā much good food and we already tasted someĀ today we’re going to show you all in thisĀ Ā video so subscribe right now because we stuff ourĀ faces all around the world that’s where the nameĀ Ā
STUFR comes from and right now it’s BolognaĀ Italy so let’s just eat. so bologna isĀ Ā famous for a few things that originate fromĀ this city and Mortadella is one of them weĀ Ā are having lunch at cili a really nice littleĀ restaurant and I’m having mortadella as a starterĀ Ā
A little bit sad just a little bunch of sausageĀ on a plate but we separated the cheese from theĀ Ā sausage because I don’t like cheese or TimĀ is having the cheese that comes with it thisĀ Ā is the sausage mortadella and Nala smells theĀ sausage as well so this is the mortadella thatĀ Ā
Comes from bologna and normally you could get itĀ on a sandwich and you’llĀ Ā have it thinly sliced but this is cubed for aĀ little starter just to get a little bologna flavor o oh this is really nice I like it theyĀ call it the salami of Bologna it’s more like aĀ Ā
Boiled sausage it’s not grilled it’s not notĀ smoked it’s not but it’s more like a boiledĀ Ā thing I really like this type of sausagesĀ it’s totally different from salami or anyĀ Ā other sausage that you’ll eat those someĀ more thick and cured and and chewy butĀ Ā
This is really smooth and I like it very muchĀ so I’m having my very first risotto in Italy inĀ Ā bologna and this is a really special one it’sĀ not on the regular menu it’s only a menu ofĀ Ā
The day and it’s a risotto with melon never hadĀ that before looks awesome oh really big chunksĀ Ā of melon in there m oh my gosh okay I’ve neverĀ had risotto like this is really sweet because ofĀ Ā the melon and it can still really taste theĀ cheese that’s a really awesome combinationĀ Ā
Of savory and sweets wow absolutely stunningĀ if they have it on the menu when you are hereĀ Ā you have to order this definitely so anotherĀ specialty from bologna is tortellini and youĀ Ā know them those are those little rolled up doughĀ balls of pasta balls filled with anything in myĀ Ā
Case there’s meat inside but this is tortelini imĀ brodo which is in broth in a soup form so superĀ Ā local super traditional and it’s my first timeĀ ever having tortelini in a soup so I’m actually very
Excited oh that’s really nice the broth alone isĀ really nice and and flavorful it is just like aĀ Ā really nice layer dish or something when it comesĀ into your mouth you first have that salty brothĀ Ā
That comes in then the pasta because there’s not aĀ lot of other things in it it’s just the broth andĀ Ā the pasta and then the meat comes through when youĀ bite open the tortellini but of course you can alsoĀ Ā
Get a regular tortellini with a Ragu or a bolognese sauce because of course bologa in Bologna checkĀ Ā that out as well but this is actually really niceĀ and I think it’s a really nice lunch dish actually coffee lovers pay attention because inĀ Bologna they have a shop called Aroma specialtyĀ Ā
Coffees I’m not a coffee drinker but this soundedĀ so amazing that I wanted to try it because it’sĀ Ā zabaione the the white wine Whipped Cream Egg nuttyĀ kind of dessert that they mix in with an espressoĀ Ā
Look at this beautiful fancy coffee and there’s aĀ lot of cream and only a little bit of coffee so IĀ Ā think I’ll be fine I’m just going to try ooh it’sĀ really thick cream I love that M oh my God oh myĀ Ā
God I love coffee flavor in ice cream or in coffeeĀ beans such chocolate beans and this is just thatĀ Ā there’s not too much coffee in it and it hasĀ that white wine Cream custardy Egg noggy kindĀ Ā
Of vibe I’m Blown Away honestly I hope you canĀ tell by my reaction but do I have it on my chin yeah my God had so many different flavors itĀ really took me a long time to make a choice andĀ Ā
I still don’t know if I made the right choiceĀ but I got three flavors I got biscoto de nonnaĀ which sounds amazing because we love torta della nonna butĀ this time it’s with cookies and chocolate andĀ Ā
I got salted pistachio pesto as ice cream soĀ we at Cremeria La Vecchia Strala in bologna and havingĀ Ā my first gelato and it looks amazing let meĀ see I think this is the biscota really niceĀ Ā
And creamy crunchy cookies in size which I alsoĀ like sometimes M very nice and now maybe the mostĀ Ā special one the pistachio pesto ice creamĀ oh this is crazy you’re having gelato butĀ Ā there’s no nothing nothing sweet about it it’sĀ really completely salty but it’s really it’sĀ Ā
Still quite nice actually wow I’ve never hadĀ such salty ice cream before it’s really like aĀ Ā almost like a mind [Ā __Ā ] or something but it’sĀ really very nice I can definitely recommend toĀ Ā try the salty pistachio because pistachio isĀ one of the most classic flavors and everybodyĀ Ā
Gets it but this time it’s only salty notĀ sweet so it’s really something differentĀ Ā and if you like pistacho in real life then whyĀ not go for this I would I would eat it again
So bologna has two Food Markets Mercato di MezzoĀ Mercato delle Erbe, we are at Mercato delle Erbe actually thisĀ Ā is the one that we prefer it has a nicer Vibe andĀ it’s larger and it has more food stalls to chooseĀ Ā
From but the other one Mercato di Mezzo also looked reallyĀ good and had some really good food there so youĀ Ā can go to either one for a nice lunch and pickĀ your favorite and have some amazing food thereĀ Ā
Are so many little restaurants and little shops inĀ this Mercato delle Erba and we found Sfarina which is a piadinaĀ Ā which is those really flat bread almost like aĀ pita bread or even flatter I think they go throughĀ Ā
Like one of those Wranglers and they stretchĀ it out the dough to make it really flat thenĀ Ā they bake the bread really short on a grillĀ and then they add the filling you can have itĀ Ā with all the fillings the classical fillingsĀ and stuff but we’ve went for a uh vegetarianĀ Ā
Option and this is a eggplant parmesan nowĀ so I’m really curious the red looks really fresh this is such a nice lunch I think theseĀ Food Markets are a perfect place to get someĀ Ā lunch you can get like different little snacksĀ everywhere I love this flavor really good IĀ Ā
Would definitely try one of the other flavorsĀ here as well but I bet Tim all of this becauseĀ Ā he’s vegetarian so second stop at Mercato delle ErbaĀ we at Super Forna Pizza now so we’re having some amazingĀ Ā Pizza they have a lot of different optionsĀ they even have ones with potatoes and theyĀ Ā
Also have classic ones like Margarita and theyĀ also have those like Gourmet ones and this isĀ Ā of course vegetarian and this with uh ricottaĀ and mozzarella and zucchini and eggplants soĀ Ā um yeah let’s go nice and crunchy bottom layerĀ but the rest is really nice and fluffy taste isĀ Ā
Also really good M really nice with the ricottaĀ really creamy I think I’ve never had ricottaĀ Ā on a pizza before works works quite well andĀ the good thing is you can shoot as much as youĀ Ā
Want so this is only like a few bites becauseĀ we want to try different things and this isĀ Ā only like ā¬3 so you can just choose how muchĀ you want and it’s not that expensive perfect
So next stop in Bologna we are at Simoni whichĀ is a restaurant where they sell a lot of ham andĀ Ā cheese and something really special I’m openingĀ it up now which is a Tigilini and a Tigilini areĀ Ā
Little sandwiches they are served warm you canĀ get them anywhere here in Bologna but they haveĀ Ā these little marks on it stamps and that’s theĀ stamp of the shop that sells it and we orderedĀ Ā
A tagliere which is a plate filled with ham and cheeseĀ I have to admit it looks like there’s a littleĀ Ā bit more ham on it than cheese poor Tim butĀ he will get more bread and at least there’sĀ Ā
Quite some uh cheese on it I’m going to stuff myĀ first tigilini with some Mortadella like I saidĀ Ā earlier in the video Mortadella is the ham fromĀ bologna so and this one is not cubed it’s slicedĀ Ā
So that’s also nice to try and I’m going to tryĀ it in one of those little breads that are veryĀ Ā very local so you’d have to get these breadĀ with the stems it looks really cute as well
Right m I like the bread because the stamp itĀ gives it a bit of a crunch on the outside itĀ Ā reminds me a little bit of like um like aĀ grilled cheese kind of texture it’s reallyĀ Ā nice the texture outside gives it a realĀ distinct eating experience the flavor isĀ Ā
Bread but it the it’s the experience of theĀ Crunch and the Mortadella inside is amazingĀ Ā I just love Mortadella but I also have someĀ cured hem some raw hem here which would beĀ Ā amazing in one of these little breads so IĀ can’t wait to be trying all of this but IĀ Ā
Won’t film it for you because that’s boringĀ you just have to come here and taste it for yourself we love having breakfast from a localĀ bakery when we are traveling and so of courseĀ Ā
The same in Italy first we are starting off withĀ a very typical dish it’s a torta de Riso so riceĀ Ā cake it’s quite big and you get a spoon withĀ it it’s quite thick the texture is also really
Dense there’s a lot lot of texture going onĀ it’s like super you can really taste the riceĀ Ā there’s really a lot in there it’s it’s veryĀ super dense like the whole texture it’s quiteĀ Ā nice it’s nice and sweet but not too sweet I likeĀ it I have another Regional biged good it’s calledĀ Ā
An Ofella and this one is with apple and creamĀ I think the form looks really interesting itĀ Ā almost looks like a hat or something a top hat IĀ will bite on this side because then have all theĀ Ā
Layers M it’s a gooier than I thought like theĀ top the bottom layer is really gooey and this isĀ Ā more like puff pastry almost but the filling withĀ the apple is really really nice all right I couldĀ Ā
Eat this more often it’s really nice I finallyĀ found licorice ice cream we had that once inĀ Ā Rome and it was so good and I’ve been lookingĀ forward to tasting it but this the first ShopĀ Ā
I actually see it gelateria Oggi in Bologna I’mĀ so happy this is so perfect I took two scoopsĀ Ā of the same flavor because I was dying to tryĀ this oh if you ever get your hands on licoriceĀ Ā
Ice cream please try it it is so good it is soĀ special so intense this is so good so closingĀ Ā off our food tour in Bologna of course I hadĀ to try the bolognese sauce because that’s whatĀ Ā
This place is famous for Bolognese sauce it’s actuallyĀ called Ragu so if you are in Italy it’s calledĀ Ā Ragu but for tourists they put bolognese sauceĀ here on the menu I’m having a lasagna a lasagnaĀ Ā alab bologa so with the bolog Ragu Sauce Sim isĀ actually having tortelini which is also RegionalĀ Ā
Local with sage and butter it looks reallyĀ nice as well and we at a restaurant calledĀ Ā Sfoglia Rina which is a really nice local andĀ also quite trendy restaurant it looks reallyĀ Ā nice from the interior I’m going to enjoyĀ my first lasagna actually on this
Trip oh wow really nice they used green uh pastaĀ sheets which gives it a really nice look actuallyĀ Ā I’m really happy with my choice and and I’mĀ happy that I’m closing off this bologna foodĀ Ā tour with this amazing lasagna or is there moreĀ you never know if I’m going to order with soreĀ Ā
So stay tuned for that but I’m going to enjoyĀ this this is really nice the ragua sauce withĀ Ā the minced meat the tomato sauce this is whatĀ you you know right it’s not something that IĀ Ā can say like it’s mind-blowingly new but theĀ flavors are really nice yes this is a properĀ Ā
Way to close off a food tour video because weĀ went back to Mercato di Mezzo which is the otherĀ Ā food market here in bologna and we saw thisĀ earlier that they have a really spectacularĀ Ā
Looking tiramisu with a lot of cream on topĀ and this is at the restaurant or at one of theĀ Ā restaurants called s relli and I’m just goingĀ to enjoy a final terisu of our road trip in
Italy oh the cream on top is really nice andĀ dense gream the coffee flavor is there theĀ Ā alcohol is there it’s really nicely balancedĀ I have to say this is one of the better chamusĀ Ā
I’ve had on this trip I’ve had around four orĀ five chamus what I love is that the cookie isĀ Ā there as well it’s not too moist I’ve had tusĀ before where the cookie is so moist that youĀ Ā
Don’t even taste the texture anymore but here youĀ can still taste the texture even though it’s veryĀ Ā moist oh this is definitely a good one so ifĀ you’re craving a terisu go to Mercato di Mezzo thankĀ Ā
You so much for watching our bologna food tourĀ I hope you enjoyed this video and that we gaveĀ Ā you some nice inspiration for when you visitĀ but this city is so amazing there is so muchĀ Ā
Food we already discussed it we might go backĀ here just for the food if you want to chooseĀ Ā between going to Florence OR bologna then forĀ us bologna is definitely the pick it feels soĀ Ā much more local it has beautiful historicalĀ buildings but it has amazing restaurantsĀ Ā
And they’re so much more to discover thanĀ we did in this video but at least we gaveĀ Ā you some highlights and some inspiration soĀ subscribe if you haven’t already because weĀ Ā stuff our faces all around the world that’sĀ what the name stufr comes from we had theĀ Ā
Best time here only two days in Bologna butĀ our stomachs are full thanks for watching bye everybody wow really good turn with this one

Hello Tim, Dennis, and Nala! It's wonderful to see your visit to Bologna, and all the great food! Tim's melon ricotta looks so interesting, and delicious! I'm also so happy that Dennis found licorice gelato. How wonderful! We had a small ice cream shop near us when I was a child. It had licorice ice cream. It was fantastic! I got it all the time. I miss it. It also makes me happy to see Nala with you, even at the restaurants. Have a great weekend! Thanks for your video.
