Do you know the difference between Loam mine  and Chao mine? Add two portions of noodles into   boiling water and cook for two minutes. Meanwhile,  in a sauce bowl, combine 1 tbsp of soy sauce,   2 tbsp of oyster sauce, and 1  tsp of dark soy sauce. Mix well.

Heat a wok until smoking hot, add a drizzle of  oil, then pour the sauce and stir to caramelize it   a little bit. Turn off the heat, because we  are making loam mine, which translates as   mixing the noodles with the  seasonings. If you keep the heat on,

You are making Chao mine, because Chao  translates as a stir fry that is the difference. Delicious~

  1. This is all correct but also lo mein usually uses the fat, chewy noodles, while chow mein uses the thin type of noodles.

  2. I’ll come clean, I knew there was a difference, but no, I did not know what the difference is. That makes a lot of sense.
