I made a whole lot of cherry pie filling, and cherries and cheesecakes go together beautifully, so I decided to put them together in a Danish. You can either make your own cherry pie filling or you could even use a store bought cherry preserve (Bonne Maman has one that would work well) to make this.

*Ingredients (for the Cherry Pie Filling)*
500g Cherries
100g Sugar
100ml Water/Red wine
60ml Rum/Kirsch (if you’re not using red wine only)
1tsp Vanilla Extract
Juice of one Lime

*Ingredients (for the Cream Cheese Layer)*
150g Cream Cheese
30g Sugar
1 Yolk
1tsp Vanilla Extract
1tsp Orange Zest
A Pinch of Salt

A sheet of Puff Pastry
1 egg for the egg wash
20g sugar + 1tsp milk for the glaze
