This recipe is quite unique as it combines two strong flavors: salmon and orange, making a perfect dish.
This dish is quick to make and ideal for impressing family, friends, or a significant other on special occasions like Valentine’s Day.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes + 30 minutes for marinating

Ingredientes for 2:

2 salmon fillets
Juice of 2 oranges
Zest of 1 orange
Fresh thyme leaves
1 sprig of rosemary
Chopped parsley, to taste
Garlic powder, to taste
Bay leaf powder, to taste
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon of butter
1 teaspoon of cornstarch
Orange slices for serving

Preparation:

1. Place the salmon fillets in a deep dish or on a tray.
Season both sides of the fillets with salt, pepper, bay leaf powder, garlic powder, and thyme leaves.
Add the rosemary sprig and drizzle with orange juice.
Let marinate for 30 minutes.

2. Dissolve the cornstarch in a tablespoon of water.

3. In a non-stick frying pan, heat the olive oil.
Once hot, fry the salmon fillets for 2 minutes on each side.
After the salmon turns golden brown, remove it with a slotted spoon to a plate.

4. In another frying pan, heat the butter.
Add the orange zest and sauté slightly without browning.
Add the marinade and the cornstarch mixture.
Stir and put the salmon fillets back in the pan.
Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes on each side.
After 3 minutes, transfer the salmon to a serving plate.

5. Finally, add the parsley to the sauce and remove it from the heat.
Serve the fish with the sauce and orange slices.
