I’m told that Shrimp and Grits is a southern staple. I will admit, growing up in the northwest corridor of Washington, DC, shrimp and grits was unheard of in my household. Now that I’m primarily in Atlanta, GA, I’m a huge fan of this dish in particular because it features shrimp! Shrimp and Grits can be created in different variations with an array of sauces!
Here is one of my southern style versions that is full of flavor and will leave your tastebuds completely satisfied!
If you are looking for a super easy breakfast or brunch meal, treat yourself to some soulful shrimp and grits. Also, this is a great dinner idea!
Be advised you can substitute the shrimp for chicken or another protein of choice. The cream sauce is tasteful on almost anything!
