Hello I’m Sonia at Red Cardinal Kitchen and today we are going to be making pizza only instead of standard yeast though we are making it with Pina bread making pita bread from scratch is fun and rewarding an experience that can be used in many different ways one creative option is to

Use it as pizza crust an ad Moroccan inspired toppings for a unique Twist on American classic with a little bit of effort and the right ingredients you can create a delicious pizza that combines The Best of Both Worlds all right so stay tuned and after the

Break we’ll show you how to get started on making this pita pizza bread foreign Did you know that pita bread is a type of round flat bread that is believed to have originated in the Middle East its history can be traced back thousands of years to ancient civilizations such as the Egyptians and the Greeks the word Peta means pie or cake in Greek

And the bread was traditionally made by baking dough in a brick oven causing the bread to puff up and form a pocket in the center this pocket made it ideal for filling with Meats vegetables and other ingredients today pita bread is enjoyed all over the world and is a staple in the

Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine so with that let’s get cooking to a large bowl add three quarter cup of warm almond milk with one teaspoon of lemon juice one room temperature Egg two tablespoons of extra light olive oil and one teaspoon of fine sea salt 1 tablespoon of pure maple syrup and one

Quarter cup of room temperature Greek yogurt Center our Bowl now let’s whisk until well Blended and don’t worry about writing these measured ingredients down for they will be listed in the description below the video one thing to note is that the lemon juice is in the almond milk so you don’t

Need to add it separately now let’s begin adding flour and we’ll whisk one cup at a time till it is smooth whiskey whisking all right I’m gonna put in our second cup of flour whisk a little bit more I’m gonna add more flour and I added two and a quarter teaspoons of

Instant yeast which does not need to be proven so you can skip that step but by all means if you’re using packaged yeast you will want to prove that initially so we’ve had a whisk in the bowl and it reported out to the flowered work surface

Now I use a small amount of dough to finish cleaning the bowl or you can use a scraper and finally we’re going to knead the dough for at least 10 minutes I’m putting a little bit of flour on it to try to break it off oh and the spoon and that’s it

After it’s needed done your thumb print the indention should spring back now we’re ready to move on to the next step of our recipe hello I’m Sonia and I’m representing the kind of knives as a fellow cooking Enthusiast I understand the importance of having the right tools to create excellent meals

I’m excited to introduce you to this Innovative product that will change how you slice Dice and cut your ingredients have you ever been frustrated with the Lord Daddy’s knives in the kitchen I definitely have until I discovered an Econo knife a superior Japanese knife that will revolutionize your cooking experience

And here’s why these knives are handmade and sticky Japan with a rich history of knife making crafted with the finest materials in expert craftsmanship that bodies centuries old Japanese knife making traditions but what sets the nikono knife apart is that that’s no sharpness and durability which will take your culinary skills to

Knife at Ricardo kitten if you visit the description area below this video and click the link and use our promo code Red Cardinal Kitchen at checkout you can receive 10 off your purchase wow thank you for considering Econo knives our products will ensure you never have

To deal with though or down his knives again all right so after kneading the dough we’re gonna lift it and check it if it holds a ball shape if yes the gluten is tight and robust if not the gluten is not smooth intense so we’re going to place the dough ball

On the same mixing bowl that has been oiled and covered with a warm damp towel Never Gonna Let it rise in the kitchen sink filled with warm water for 45 minutes and we’re going to keep an eye on the dough to ensure it doesn’t over prove

Once it doubles punch it down shape it into portions and use it for your pita pizza so here I am I’ve oiled my bowl and I’m going to cover it with a damp towel and place it into my water bath my timer’s set for 45 minutes all right let’s start by heating a

Medium-high skillet and we’re going to add some olive oil and raw peanuts and we’re going to cook until the peanuts turn brown then after they turn brown we’re going to push them aside and we’re gonna add some red onions to the skillet so let’s get these stirred up to the side

Now here comes the red onions however I could cook them for one to two minutes until you start to smell their Aroma indicating it’s time to add the next ingredient and that ingredient will be ginger and garlic you will begin to smell everything so it’s that’s when you know to put in the

Next ingredient and now to prevent my vegetables from burning I want to add a little bit of Apple lemon juice that my apples were cooked in and then I’m going to add some mini colorful peppers let’s add some little extra olive oil and some chopped skirt steak or flat iron beef

Give that a stir a little bit of cinnamon mmm smells good and some dashes of black pepper and then lastly we’re going to add some cooked apple slices and orange slices and chickpeas also known as garbazo beans and we’re going to cook everything until the meat is cooked through and the

Vegetables are tender all right now we’re gonna portion our dough and assemble and Grill our fajita pizzas so let’s start making the delicious pita Pizza on an electric grill first we’re going to divide the pizza dough into six equal pieces now here you see me I’m dusted my area with flour and

I want to put a little bit of flour on it so that it’s not as sticky now here we are divide the dough to six equal pieces and now we’re gonna dust each piece of flour and we’re gonna roll it into a just between one and eight inch and one quarter inch thick

Once we get this all freshened out add it down It kind of helps it to pliable ready for that roll here we go roll them roll them into a nice shape as best you can round over whichever and remember if you move it thinner the bread will be less soft in the middle while rolling it thicker it will result

In a denser fluffier bread just keep rolling and once you’re done we’re going to now put a little oil on the grill moving onto the grill now there you have some cornmeal laid out keeps the dough from sticking and this Grill is at 425 degree Fahrenheit or for people who use celsius

It’s 220 degrees when it’s hot now here we are putting our rolled pizzas on the grill and we’re going to we had Brown them on one side and we’re flipping them over and this should take around five minutes we are flipping them back over and it’ll take another four minutes

But wow those are doing their trick I’m gonna lay down some pizza sauce on each pita pizza I have the recipe for this sauce down below this video action area here I’m still working on the sauce getting it all more or less however much you like to put on

It’s like to have just a little bit not too heavy and now here we’re gonna put on all of our filling that we had made up earlier as much as you want to put on there just scattered on make it pretty some apple slices and orange slices beautiful

Okay in the top but with a little bit of olives and oh that looks pretty okay and then I have some cheese that I had Frozen and Once it saws out some I break it into pieces a little cheese nuggets okay and you can grate it or slices

However you want to put it on your pizza I just happen to like it this way and then we don’t want to put too much on our pizzas so now we’re gonna cover it and by covering it it’s going to melt the cheese and finish cooking

Guess what time it is you guessed it it’s time for the taste test and I’m going to get me some it’s my knife an Econo knife nice just make a little bit yeah it’s halfway or later we’ll just eat it right here on the board how’s that all right

Well let’s see what we have um got the meat now I can say it um yum release this bite of our cheesy jalapeno flatbread is delicious what you can get it where you can speak um let me tell you you’ll notice the soft and chewy inside with the crispy

Texture of the crust on the outside immediately and that melted cheese that creamy texture blending seamlessly with that jalapeno making it a gooey gooey Savory flavor with just the right amount of spiciness overall our flat bread recipe has a perfect combination of flavors and textures that will leave your taste buds joyful

And complement any soup stew or a salad and you can also fold it and make it into tacos burritos enchiladas and just like what we did a pizza the ideas are endless this recipe is worth a try we hope you do well thank you for watching and for every

Step of the way this is Sonia the cook Christopher our videographer and Aggie our Cavapoo puff saying happy eating and God bless and we’ll see you on the flip side goodbye for now Thank you
