Not Your Nana’s Chicken and Dumplings!
RECIPE BELOW! I swear we’ve all been sick for the last 2 monthsssss!! And I heard its finally snowing up north so this video is just in timeee! Chicken and Dumplings is one of my top 3 favorite winter meals! And not that “quick” kind lol
2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
32 oz chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken with herbs
2 stalks celery, diced
2 carrots, diced
Half an onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 tbsps butter
1.5 cups heavy cream
Biscuit mix and Wooden Bowl (Spilling the Sweet Tea)
Seasonings used
City Cajun (OneStopChop)
My Garlic Butter and Herb
Salt if needed
Avocado oil
Seasoning chicken thighs with city cajun seasoning (no its not spicy). Sear in a pot with avocado oil until completely cooked through. Take out, add butter and veggies. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Add in can of cream of chicken, chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add chicken and simmer until chicken can shred easily. Then add heavy cream, my garlic butter n herb seasoning, and bring to boil. Make biscuits according to packaging.
