Folks, let me tell you about my fantastic new spin on the Cuban sandwich! The Cuban sandwich is said to have originated in Florida. It traditionally consists of Cuban bread, ham, roast pork, pickles, and Swiss cheese. Once assembled, the sandwich is pressed on a griddle.

All right guys are you ready for a pooled pork cuban sandwich this thing’s massive full of flavor and gonna be damn good stick around while i show you how to cook it [Applause] all right guys to get started on our pulled pork cuban sandwich i’ve got my blackstone you can see a little bit of smoke coming off of it it’s rolling hot i’m going to take a little bit of this bacon up get in here roll it down get my griddle kind of

Smoking hot here and show you now once you get that spread out i’ve got some leftover pork butt from the texas style pork butt i’ve done it’s been frozen vacuum sealed i thought it out it’s still ice cold what i’m gonna do is i’m gonna get this on my flat top

And while i’m putting that pulled pork down here i’m gonna take my bread that i’ve already cut open my french bread put a little butter on i’m going to get it down over here on this side of the grill i’ve got it running medium over here i’m going to start toasting those

That bread on that one side now this barbecue here you want to take it get it on your griddle and this is the way i do it if you’ve got a better way to do it please do it i’m going to take a little bit of my

Water here for a little bit of steam and my dome cover i’m gonna go down there and i’m gonna do that two or three times let it steam flip it steam flip it till i get it hot the bread gets toasted and we’ll get ready to assemble our sandwich foreign

All right guys our pork is about warmed up you can see it’s where it needs to be i’m cutting my griddle down a little bit on this side i am going to take and i’m going to drizzle a little bit just a little of my vinegar-based barbecue sauce

When i say just a little bit i just want to live in this poor cup just to sprig that’s it not much that was probably not even a quarter cup uh total but it just helped add a little bit of acidity and flavor to it when we assemble our sandwich

Now i’m going to push that pork over here till we get ready to build our sandwich now you can see that our bread is toasting up awful nice right here so i’m gonna move that off and get ready to toast some ham up so i’ve got some ham here

We’re gonna throw down this is just some thinly sliced um i think this is virginia ham actually now while your ham’s cooking it’s going to be quick turn it over here now while you got your ham cooking i’m going to go ahead and squirt a little mustard down

On both sides of our bread here across i’m going to go ahead and squirt a little blue plate mayo down just because i like mayo on mine and you don’t have to do mayonnaise if you don’t want to it’s completely up to you now you just want to keep flipping this

Ham just like this you get it to where you want it start rolling your pork now you know what we’re fisting to do we’re gonna take start putting our pork on our sandwiches once we get them all assembled we’re gonna throw some ham on and some swiss cheese

Now once we get all of our everything off of our grill here we’re gonna scrape it off and get ready to press these and they know they’re gonna be good now i’m gonna squirt a little bit more mustard on mine and then of course you know

We got to hit it with that baby swish get a couple slices laid up here on each one now we’re going to take some dill pickles get them laid down there now let’s take and fold these bad boys over i’m gonna cut that bread now let’s get that sandwich over here get

This press on it do the same thing with this one get a press on it now i’m going to take to help that cheese melt not touch the bread just give it a little bit of steam around it might help might not i know this is going to be good when

We’re finished with it now remember our sandwiches are going to be messy and big and flavorful and that’s what we want and make sure you keep that press stacked up there to roll off that french bread now i did buy the narrow french bread you can buy the great wide but that’s

Going to be a massive sandwich if you’re making it for a crowd and you can go back and cut it into wedges by all means try that one all right guys our sandwiches are ready and we’re just about ready to get them over the cutting board and get them cut

All right guys our sandwiches are off the grill and just to recap we took some of our leftover pulled pork from our texas style boston butt threw it on our black stone griddle steamed it with a little bit of water splashed it with a tad a tangy vinegar

Barbecue sauce when we toasted up some french bread we topped that with some grilled ham some swiss cheese and pickles some mayo mustard and made one heck of a barbecue cuban sandwich so there’s only one thing left to do and let’s try this thing let’s get her sliced and get a bite

All right let’s get this piece here we’ve cut would you look at that pulled pork ham swiss cheese pickles oh i can’t wait to get a bite by far one of the top five sandwiches i’ve ever made right here give it a try and see if you like it

I got to hurry up and wrap this up because i’m fishing demolish this whole sandwich over here if you like what we’re doing on our channel be sure to like subscribe follow along with your friends you can find us on everything facebook instagram twitter tick tock and of
