Here’s what you’ll need:

1/4 cup light or dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons Kosher salt
1 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon avocado or canola oil
1 (12-ounce) package bacon (not thick-cut)

How to make Bacon Wrapped Chicken!

Preheat the oven to 375°F and have ready a rimmed baking sheet lined with nonstick aluminum foil. Combine the sugar and all of the spices in a small bowl and set it aside.

Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Then, on a work surface, drizzle them evenly with oil and rub all over until evenly coated. Season each chicken breast with 1 tablespoon of the brown sugar-spice mixture (totaling 4 tablespoons of seasoning) and rub/pat all over once more to adhere.

Start at the tapered end of the chicken breast and begin tightly wrapping it with a slice of bacon, everso slightly overlapping as you loop it around, and adding a second slice of bacon as necessary.

Transfer the chicken to the prepared pan and distribute the remaining brown sugar-spice across the top of them, and pat the adhere.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked through. Allow to rest 5-10 minutes, serve, and enjoy!

Bacon wrap chicken the first thing we’re gonna do is whip up that sweet savory smoky spice rub this is gonna add so much flavor to both your chicken and the exterior of that caramelized yummy bacon layer so to the bowl we’re going to add a quarter cup of light brown sugar two

Teaspoons of kosher salt one and a half teaspoon of black pepper two teaspoons of smoked paprika one teaspoon of garlic powder and a quarter teaspoon of onion powder now we’re just gonna mix this up you can use your fingers just get in there make sure that red spice is evenly

Distributed throughout the sugar mix we’re going to prep this chicken for loads and loads of flavor so the first thing we’re going to do is we’re going to pat it dry with a few paper towels i’ve got four chicken breasts here unfortunately these chicken breasts are

A little bit on the small side you just get what you get sometimes so i’ll probably end up baking them for less time but we’ll get into that a little bit more later the reason why we’re patting the chicken breast dry is because we want that oil to stay adhered

If the oil can adhere to the chicken so can that delicious spice mixture now i’m just gonna drizzle with a teensy bit of oil here about a tablespoon and i’ll come in and just rub it all over each breast both sides now i’m gonna bring in about a

Tablespoon of seasoning for each breast and i’m gonna rub and really pat make sure that this stays put you aren’t going to want to waste a single bit of this mix here and now we add even more big time flavor with some bacon you cannot use i repeat

You cannot use thick cut bacon for this recipe you really need it to be thinly sliced bacon so that it can cook through in the oven and you don’t end up with sad soggy undercooked bacon wrapped around your chicken so i’m gonna start at the tapered end of the chicken here

And i’m just gonna slowly start bringing the piece of bacon around just giving it lots of love with every turn making sure that we’re staying nice and tight and then when you get through with one piece you’re just gonna grab another piece just like so and then we’re to kind of

Like hide that we’re transitioning into a new slice bring this around and then we’ll start wrapping again so the bacon’s down there’s nothing truly graceful about that process you’re probably gonna use two to three pieces of bacon per chicken breast and now what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna make sure

That we get so much flavor on the top and we’re gonna do that again with our spice rub just sprinkle this right over guaranteed this is a dinner your family is going to be asking for again and again i’ve got a rimmed baking sheet here lined with non-stick aluminum foil

You really want the rim on the baking sheet because we’ve got a lot of really good bacon grease that’s going to be dripping out of here and you do not want it falling on the floor of your oven now we’ll just transfer these over to the baking sheet i mentioned earlier that

These breasts were a little small they’re a little thin and so a lot of times when we’re trying to figure out what that perfect cook time is going to be it’s really going to be dependent on a few things and one of the biggest things is the size of your chicken

Breasts this is why a lot of times in a recipe you’ll see a range from 20 to 25 minutes 25 to 30 minutes typically for bacon-wrapped chicken you want the chicken to stay in the oven longer so that that bacon has a chance to fully cook through and crisp up but because of

The small size of my chicken breast i’m going to bake them at the lower end of the spectrum the 25 minute mark and to crisp up that bacon i’ll show you a little trick when it’s done okay chicken is finished baking let’s see what we’ve got here it’s looking absolutely fantastic but i

Do feel that that bacon could be quite a bit crispier so here’s what we’re going to do we’re going to pop this back in just for a sec i’m just going to hit broil for a small moment of time and i’m going to stand here and i’m

Gonna watch i’m not going to move at all you need to keep your eyes on the chicken make sure nothing gets smoked out nothing burns chicken is a perfect and now for the final reveal stop it look at that chicken looks really good smells really good if y’all are looking to make

Every single person at dinner salivate the moment the plate hits the table you want to just spruce it up just a little bit grab your brush here take some of this yummy bacon dripping goodness and just dab it right over the top of your breasts just grab this little guy

Here i’m gonna cut into it see how amazing we did oh my goodness look at this chicken i can’t even look at this chicken without my mouth watering that is crazy juicy perfectly cooked now let’s give it a taste it’s sweet it’s savory it’s got that smoky kick

Everything that we had talked about in that spice mix shows up so much in the final dish if you’re on the hunt for more amazing chicken dinners be sure to check out my chicken recipes playlist next

  1. You can use thick-cut bacon if you fry your bacon-wrapped chicken till the bacon is done then put it in the oven for maybe 10 minutes at 350. I also split my chicken and add cheese to it before I wrap it up with bacon…

  2. Is a great cook up. You are very good with your hands 😜
I'm thinking of pan frying it 1st then oven it. Or even try it in a air fryer . Fresh beans and some mash would be great with it .
