A simple yet classic ‘party food’ is on the agenda today, Deviled Eggs!

Yield: 12 Devilled Eggs

Ingredients:

Eggs – 6 (large)
Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
Mustard – 1 tbsp
Cream Cheese – 2 tbsp
Cheddar Cheese – ½ cup (finely grated)
Paprika – ¼ tsp
Black Pepper – ¼ tsp
Pepper Sauce – ½ tsp
Salt – to taste
Parsley – 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
Pimento Stuffed Olives – 6
Piping Bag/Plastic Bag/Ziplock Bag – 1

Method:

 Place eggs in a medium pot and cover with water.
 Bring to a boil over high heat and let cook for 20 mins.
 Remove eggs from hot water and place under cold running water to cool down.
 Remove the shell from the eggs (as illustrated in the video).
 Once the shells are removed, cut eggs length ways into half.
 Using a small spoon, remove the yolks and place into a bowl.
 Place egg whites on a flat tray or plate.
 Using a fork, crush the egg yolks into a crumbly consistency.
 To the yolk, add mayonnaise, mustard, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, paprika, salt, black pepper, pepper sauce, parsley and mix thoroughly.
 Transfer the mix into a piping bag, ensuring there are no air pockets.
 Cut the tip at a slanted angle.
 Pipe the filling starting in the middle and fill to the top and a little over the edges.
 Garnish with slices of olives.

Didn’t get in get in [Laughter] i’m trying not to get it on these sides we saved it go ahead all right let me help you thank you lovers of food and fun today is all about a popular party snack deviled eggs so let’s get cooking

So kez you know i like the little party food all right so today we’re making deviled eggs and when arlene does party food she does them right this is some gonna be some elegant deviled eggs i am sure we will try i try to make something to

Make something a little simple but you know something that’ll be a little conversational for showing something because for sure when i do stuff like this i like people you know it’s a little conversation starting yeah yeah within the mix so we have some eggs okay and we’re gonna boil some eggs on a

Medium heat for about 20 minutes so you really want to get hard-boiled eggs yeah right um i set them up before because if you wait till the water boiling you try to drop the eggs in there and i tend to put poached eggs in bacon for sure so

In the i put the eggs in and then i fill to cover the eggs with water and i cover them for about 20 minutes we don’t cover it when we’re boiling right no okay good to go so right so we just switch it up boiling and

Now this is very simple so this you can run even if you’re having like a last minute lime you could put on the eggs to boil jump and take your shower come back out mix up the things and then ta-da yeah ready all right so 20 minutes on these guys

And we’ll check back yes all right so you did most of the week i did but you don’t have to leave a little bit of work for you to do i know you wouldn’t feel good if i did not jump into this i have to participate i i surely will all

Right so of course we boil the eggs 20 minutes on medium heat so we get some nice hard boiled eggs then you have to crack and peel all of your eggs no i roll my egg on the counter i don’t know if anybody else does it like that like you just give us

A little ting ting thing roll it a little bit and then you peel from there but i know some people like use a spoon yeah many different methods but however you get the eggs out just get it out so in the meantime what i will do

Is i will cut my eggs lengthways okay see these are all peeled so it’s lengthwise kind of in the middle that kind of you have to cut it kind of in the middle in the middle in the middle and i’m going to use a little spoon and just

Scoop out the yolk of the eggs like that okay see so this is how we start building the base for our filling for double eggs of course and we just put the white into a little flat tray until we get them all done the way this these eggshells are coming off so easily

So nice well-behaved egg yeah Just don’t mind me i figure okay social arlene it’s fine a little bit what i will say though is see what happened here with me this one kind of fell apart so if you’re catering to juicy a dozen eggs for your party just do a little extra so just you know

You can mend just in case you get a misbehave yes eh yeah for sure for sure nothing is perfect but you know keto for some error right so i’m going to finish scoop this maybe by the time you finish scooping those i would have finally finished peeling this one egg i mean [Laughter]

Wait are we gonna work on these guys yeah yeah and we’ll have to check back All right so we finally got something done yes it finally it was it wasn’t such a bad time we got it done okay we got it done all right so okay so we have all of the egg yolks here so i want you to take the

Fork and just kind of crush them and make them into a nice crumbly consistency sure no problem because we want it to be nice and even when we add all of these other things okay got it all right just smash mush mush now this is a very basic recipe for

Deviled eggs but you can add any of your favorite things you got a little crisp up some bacon yes you had me at bacon happier it makes everything a little better so much better okay so we’re crumbling now very crumbly so we’re just going to season with a little bit of salt okay

All right of course this is the taste a little pepper now i want you to switch from the fork to the spatula because i want this mixture to come out kind of um not too heavy but kind of nice and light and fluffy okay so we’re gonna try to just work

Everything in and together got it and some mustard the combination of mustard and egg yolks to me is very good combination i trust you i’m taking your word for it right right so this is optional this is a little pepper sauce but it could be your favorite pepper sauce right these are

The little things that will make these deviled eggs just like you know and they’re going to take cares deviled eggs is this real season it just the way you like all right we have a little paprika okay some cream cheese oh cream cheese yes this is going to be some rich deviled eggs

Right and some shredded cheddar got it all right mix mix mix mix mix all right so once you get everything in the same color and consistency it’s that cream cheese we have to make sure that it’s really well and yes and then at the last you know i love my fresh parsley you

Just pull that in for a little color you love color food food don’t you caribbean trendy we believe in niko we don’t want any gray food there’s nothing in a grey dish no we do we don’t do gray over here we don’t agree we do vibrance yes

Mix mix mix mix mix mix all right so we want to pipe this in now you can traditionally you know people just used to kind of drop them in with the spoon but you know yeah we want something a little fancy no we gotta have it designed

So if you don’t have a piping bag you can just use a regular ziploc bag okay all right so i’m going to open this and you’re going to just one corner well incorporated a friend yes okay thank you very much all right so we choose in one corner onto one corner

And i’m folding the bag because you don’t want your mix to come all on the inside and then you lose some of it so you come close to the end so fill me up there sure drop it in get in there okay okay okay get in get in get in

I’m trying not to get it on these sides we saved it go ahead all right let me help you thank you so much great job thank you very much right mm-hmm perfect so all right so we get all down to one corner right make sure the air is out and everything

Is close to the end and then you’re going to cut a nice little hole in the corner of the back like this okay diagonal yes big enough so that the mixture and everything in it will pass through okay and i don’t know how creative and how fancy you when i get here

I mean i’m interesting that you will make it look beautiful so your job will be to give it the final little okay okay i can do that now you want to really fill this because remember the amount of egg yolks that you had in here is now a lot more

Because we actually because we added so many ingredients so you want to not just fill the the hole where the yolk used to be but you want to go on top as well and you can always go around and finish kind of top it off yeah right so i go all

At the bottom and then i come up a little bit and then what you do with the olives is that you make some little eyes if you want some eyes what about just the water this is this fanciness with this fork here it’s just it’s the one on top

I like make it stand up like this okay okay right so i will pipe them in and i will dot them with the eyes with the eyes yes and you can do as much olives on there as you like i mean it’s your deviled

Eggs if you like a lot of olives if you wanted to choose a different topping you can maybe some like that you can talk about the bacon yes all right so we’re gonna get working on these and then of course we’ve got a taste guys stay tuned so the presentation

With our zip lock bag i mean we seen something yes we’ve seen something we didn’t have a piping bag but we need do and i think we did a very good job the placement of the olives has to be the pinnacle of this particular recipe thank you so much without presentation

You don’t have anything i mean i worked really hard on these olives guys you know and of course you just sprinkled a little bit of paprika yes to complete it so good so time to taste yes shall we so Are you going to bite this as two bites or eat one egg i don’t have well it’s not one egg but half an egg at a time you mean if we’re going to bite a pretty cool team on i feel like you’re going to bite it i don’t know what’s the right answer

Guys what do you all do do you put the hole down like the mouth one time full mouth or two bites man so generally with party food especially finger food i would say that when you make it one to two bites is this size okay just remember you have your little purse you

Have your little thing you’re walking wrong you want to be cute so the items should be small enough that you can consume it in one to maybe three depending okay those are multibites okay now at the same time you might bite half and realize it tastes so good you throw

The other half and then you pick up another one and you’ll walk away that didn’t happen okay so what are you going to do is my question but since you’re going to bite i’m going to you could just yes we have to test the theory and see what is most um okay guys

But what is the most effective this is serious testing going on okay one we’re ready give me my cheers you know what it is but my one one to two bites This is not appropriate nope just you put yourself on meat right creamy so delicious that face back for me was all about the olive and mustard combo so good and i really liked i mean i like the fact that your mouth is so full so i can just keep going i

Really like the cream cheese i would love to ask you what you liked but you can’t tell me because you wanted to put the whole egg in your mouth so um any any comments to the folks at home ali it was good okay don’t forget the whole thing don’t don’t
