Homemade alfredo is so easy and so much better than store bought. Give it a try with the classic add-on of Cajun spiced chicken!

What’s up spice droppers it’s Charlie from Ferndale we have Valentine’s Day coming up so ladies here’s what I have to offer all right first we’re going to start with the chicken and if all you want to do is make that homemade Alfredo just fast forward to this point right

Here or hang out with us for the next few minutes learn about the Cajun spice blend and learn a super easy recipe before we get our hands dirty with the chicken we’re going to make the spice blend side note this is enough for four people so if you’re making this for date

Night cut this recipe in half Cajun seasoning blend like any seasoning blend is easy to make but it has quite a few ingredients and this can be adjusted to taste I tend to put more Cayenne in it because I like it hotter some people

Tend to put more th in it blah blah blah but what we’re going to do is start with about 3 tablespoons of smoked paprika now I got 2 tbspoon of black pepper and I got 2 tbspoon of course Salt after that I’m going to do about 1 and 1/2

Tablespoons each of onion powder garlic powder and cayenne now I have 1 tbsp of white pepper 1 tbsp of dried oregano and about half a tbspoon of dried thyme I like to get the time leaves not the powder now I’ll just take that mixture and mix that up until it is nicely mixed

If you don’t use all this for the recipe you can also store some of it in a Ziploc bag too for next time you cook this cuz I guarantee you will be cooking this again soon now with the chicken two chicken breasts I’m going to cut off any

Of this excess skin doesn’t have to be perfect perfect now what I like to do I got a quart bag here this is a storage bag so it’s a little more heavy duty I’ll take these brushs one at a time and put them in here put a little towel down

So that we’re not killing our eardrums and I take the flat side of these Hammers and we’re going to hammer that down we want these to be wide and flat and even now when they’re nice and even you see how much wider they got so so now

With that breast done I got a baking sheet here I got my wire rack there which I love to use and I will put that there for now going to do this other brast do the same thing to it all right the chicken is flattened out I got my

Spice rub mixed up important to note if you’re going to store any of this later you obviously cannot get chicken juice in there so I got one hand for the chicken and one hand to sprinkle so we’re just going to take a healthy amount of this and then rub that in if

It gets underneath it doesn’t matter that’s just going to cook there anyway and that’s why I put that t foil down so that it doesn’t burn the actual pan and make sure to cover the sides and everything if you don’t want to go this heavy with it you don’t have to I just

Like a lot of that seasoning on there flip it over all right there’s that and I’m realizing now this amount that I made was for four chicken breast not two but that’s all right again like I said I will save this in a Ziploc bag and I

Will be using it probably within the next 2 weeks all right I flip my chicken back over so we got top side up I got my oven preheated to 425 I’m going to going to cook these for probably about 15 20 minutes until it’s 165 internal I also

Have some boiling water G I’m going to cook 8 oz of fetuccini per the instructions on the box all right the chicken’s ready the fetuccini is ready and I saved a little bit of the water from that fetuccini and now we’re going to let this rest and we can make that

Super simple alfredo sauce so the first thing we’re going to do for the sauce is grate 1 and 1/2 cups of Parmesan cheese I like to use a smaller grate on this too so once we got the 1 and 1/2 cups here we can start putting it together in

A pan all right so once we got a medium saucepan up to Temp I’m going to throw in a stick of butter turn that down that’s a little hot and I got two cloves of minced garlic I’m throwing in we definitely need it cooler than that we don’t need

This bubble in it’s important to know you can’t have it that hot or we’ll burn the cream when we’re putting that in so once this is cooled down to the temperature we’re looking for I got it on like a medium low heat Butter’s melted I got 1 and 1/2 cups of heavy

Whipping cream that we’re slowly going to incorpor orate now you do see this is watery that is okay because we’re going to be adding a lot of cheese to this and that’s going to help thicken this up real quick so once all that cream is incorporated we’re going to start again

Slowly putting this cheese in 1 and 1/2 cups of this parmesan grab a handful throw that in once that is melted and Incorporated grab your next handful and so on and so forth so now that all the cheese is in there I’m going to keep stirring this and let this simmer a

Little bit thicken up more and while I do that I am going to add some more seasoning to this going to throw in some black pepper just a little bit of salt and because it is Cajun I’m going to put a little more Cayenne in

Here so I’m going to let that cook down again keep whisking it while it’s cooking just for a few minutes still a little bit liquidy so now that this is simmering it is definitely thicken up a little bit which is perfect if you need to you can always grate some more cheese

And throw that in there to thicken it up but I think this is going to be good so now that everything’s Incorporated I’m going to take that off heat I’m going to transfer this to another pot we’re going to take some of our pasta here throw

That in the pan just take a tad of this water that we had from the pasta and then I’m going to take some of this Alfredo here and then we’re going to mix this grab the pasta I don’t know swirl it like they tell you I don’t know I’m

Not going to do all that throw some of that on the plate I got half my chicken breast here sliced up drizzle that on top of that chicken garnish with a little oregano and there we go ladies happy Valentine’s Day let’s try it so this is

Easy to make it’s comfort food it’s so much better when you make it at home than when you get it at a restaurant I just want to dig in right Now so creamy and cheesy and obviously caj and chicken is like one of the best poppers for peace and love spice droppers I love you
