When you’re hungry and you don’t want to cook, it’s easy to grab what’s in front of you, like that bag of chips! 😅 This recipe for Tzatziki, a Greek yogurt dip will make you stop in your tracks! It’s SO easy to make, delicious, nutritious, filling, and versatile!

I first learned about Tzatziki while working for @chobani. The recipe below is inspired by the yogurt creations we made there and my twist on the classic Greek dish.

Ingredients
-Greek yogurt (traditionally used with sheep or goat’s milk yogurt, which is creamier and healthier than cow’s milk. I used 2% cow’s milk yogurt from @fage as it was easier to find and is strained 4x so sufficiently creamy. You can also go for full fat if you really want it extra creamy and/or you can further strain the yogurt with a cheesecloth for 24hrs to remove any excess water)
-Cucumber
-Lemon or vinegar
-Fresh mint or dill
-Salt and black pepper
-Olive oil

1. Traditionally, the cucumber is peeled and grated, and strained to remove any excess water from the cucumber. I’ve bypassed these steps and have simply minced or finely chopped the cucumber as I don’t want to work that hard! I also like to use all of the cucumber, including the water, which is good for hydrating your skin. If the CREAMIEST Tzatziki is your goal, then you can put in the extra work.
2. Add in the rest of the ingredients, finely chopping the herbs and grating the garlic. Mix well and adjust spices to taste.
3. Eat as a dip or add as a topping to your favorite savory dish!
