For the chicken breast:
3 pieces (2 pounds) chicken breasts
1/10 teaspoon salt
1/10 teaspoon white pepper
1 cup cornstarch
2 tablespoons oil
6 cloves garlic

For the sauce:
1 1/4 cups chicken stock
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons mirin, or replace it with water
3 tablespoons sake, or replace it with water

How do you cook chicken breasts? So it’s super  juicy, tender, quick, and easy! Stay tuned! This will become your family’s new favorite  recipe. All you need is 20 minutes! Slice each piece of chicken breast into a  crisscross shape, without cutting all the  

Way through. Each cut is about 1 inch apart.  By slicing the chicken breasts this way,   it will absorb more flavors and cook much faster. Season them with the salt and white pepper. Coat them with the cornstarch and dust off the   excess. The cornstarch will help the  chicken to stay juicy on the inside.

In a bowl, mix together the chicken  stock, soy sauce, sugar, mirin,   and sake. You could also replace the  mirin and sake with other types of   cooking wine. Or replace them with  water if you can t consume alcohol.

In a pan over high heat, add the oil. Then  transfer the chicken breasts to the pan, the   crisscross side down first. Pan fry until lightly  brown on both sides for about 3 minutes in total. Add the garlic to the pan and cook  until aromatic for a few seconds.

Over low heat, pour the sauce inside.  Cover the lid, and simmer until the   chicken breasts are completely cooked  through for about 10 minutes. Add a few   more minutes if your chicken breasts are  thicker. Flip them a few times in between.

Uncover the lid, and turn to high heat to reduce  the sauce for about 2 minutes. At this point,   the internal temperature of the chicken should  be at least 165 degrees F or 74 degrees C. Serve and enjoy!
