Hey everyone this is Angela from Baker with love and today we’re making a lemon butter baked cod and you know how soft and tender Cod is when it’s cooked right and then it’s baked in this lemon butter sauce and it is so buttery fall-apart good absolutely delicious so we’re going
To start out with making the sauce which is four tablespoons of butter you see that we’re melting here I’m going to add a cup of heavy cream and then about a half a cup of white wine you don’t have to use the white wine but it adds a
Great flavor and then I have also squeezed two lemons and then zested both those lemons first so I’m going to use the zest from one lemon in the sauce and then I’m going to use the other lemon zest on top of the cause before we bake
It so the juice from both lemons is in the sauce but happy lemon zest and a good tablespoon of fresh chopped dill and hold off the other zest from the other lemon until we get to baking the cod okay and we’re just waiting for all these ingredients to warm up and come to
A low boil and I’ll let it simmer at that low boil of five minutes tops and meanwhile I’m going to get a little casserole dish ready shallow one not that big because I’ve got it’s about two pounds of cod that I’m going to bake off and I’ve got it coated lightly with some
Butter I don’t think it’s going to stick but just to be extra sure and it’s going to add to the slurry flavor anyway can’t hurt a thing so we’ve got that ready we let this simmer now for a few minutes and then I’m going to put just enough to
Cover the bottom of my baking dish of the sauce in the baking dish there we go and then I’m going to lay my cosplay portions in there just boom boom boom about three sections here two pounds total like I said earlier and I will top
It with the other half of my lemon zest some more fresh chopped dill some salt and pepper and bake it off I’m gonna go back a step I did have these dry before putting them in seems kind of redundant because I’m getting them super wet but I did I pass them dry
Before putting them in my p.m. my oven is preheated to 425 degrees and they don’t take long to cook at all so when you start seeing the sauce bubbling your Cod is pretty much probably done take a fork to the center piece or your thickest section of your cotton there
And if it slice apart you’re good to go now go ahead and serve this immediately when pulled out of the oven you’ll want to dish it up we have rice with ours and some fresh steamed vegetables it’s a very very beautiful dinner and you drizzle the extra sauce all over
Whatever else you’re eating it’s amazing anyway I hope you enjoyed the video if you did please give it a thumbs up be sure to come back soon and we’ll see you in

I love fish and this looks delicious!
How long should i cook it?
I make similar… just add to the cod a layer of spinach then a layer of mashed potatoes.. a complete meal in one dish 😉
That looks amazing. I'll make that. I love how as it cooks it adds to the flavor of the sauce.
Looks delicious, what brand of pinot grigio did you use for the recipe?
just what I was looking for.. thanks so much
Yum
Do we have to worry that the cream will curdle ?
Thank you for recipe! I’m trying this tonight! Mmm!
This is the best cod recipe ever! So delicious thank you for sharing it.
PS – I like to pat my meats dry too, before cooking with them. Makes total sense to me. 😊😊
Wonderful recipe. I added a finely minced garlic clove. It complimented the flavor very well. ❤️
I made with Tilapia and it was perfection! ( I only added juice of 1 lemon and it was a wee bit too tangy.. May be it was a big lemon lol) sprinkled a tiny bit of garlic powder on top too. Thank you so very much for sharing!
Making this tonight! So excited to try it!!!
nice content
I hope you keep update 🙂
Couldn’t run to the store due to COVID, so had to sub sour cream for heavy cream and sob basil from the garden for dill.
Came out great! Can’t wait to try it again.
Thanks
Tried this recipe the other day but used parsley instead of dill.Worked a treat thanks for the video looking forward to the next one.
