No act of love however small, is ever wasted
No frozen potato taste! This is a wonderfully easy potato salad to make. No disappointments, such a great taste, promise!!
The recipe is below.
32 oz bag frozen diced potatoes
1/4 cup water
Add water to potatoes, cover tightly with film wrap and microwave 15 to 20 minutes, stirring halfway through. Potatoes should be hot and fully cooked.
Whisk together: 2 tblsp. apple cider vinegar, 1 tblsp. yellow mustard, 1-1/2 tsp. of salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Pour these combined ingredients over the hot potatoes and mix thoroughly. Refrigerate until totally cool. It will take 5 to 6 hours.
While the potatoes are cooling mix together 5 chopped hard boiled eggs I found 5 made it richer and I liked it more), 1 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 cup chopped celery and 1/3 cup chopped onions. Set in fridge to cool along side the potatoes. When potatoes have fully cooled, add the egg and mayo mixture. Mix well and enjoy!!!

Hi everybody this is Linda and welcome back to my kitchen hence the cook today we’re going to make some simple and easy potato salad I’ve told you all before I don’t make good potato salad but I’ve made this recipe before and it’s very good it’ll be easy for Memorial Day
Fourth of July any family get-together or just for yourself so this is a 32 ounce bag the recipe called for southern hash brown diced potatoes but I didn’t find any I just found these diced hash brown potatoes and you need a 32 ounce bag and you’re gonna put them in this
Bowl if there’s any clump together get them get them separated and into that you’re going to add a quarter of a cup of just water now I’m going to cover this real tightly with a plastic wrap and I’m gonna put it in the microwave for 15 to 20 minutes or until it gets
Hot and totally thought out and you’re gonna halfway through you’re gonna stir it so I’ll bring you back we’re back i microwaved mine a total of 16 minutes and I stirred it halfway through at 8 minutes I took it out and started and it is totally hot and cooked now while that
Was cooking I whisk together 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar don’t use white two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon of yellow mustard like you would put on a hot dog a teaspoon and a half of salt and a quarter of a teaspoon of pepper and I whisked all that
Together and it took a whisk to get that mustard to mix and this is going in this potato salad well what’s going to be potato salad it’s not potato salad yet now this isn’t something that you can make the day of unless you get up mighty
Early it comes on this has got to go in the refrigerator covered until it’s totally cool so I’m mixing this together and I’m being a little careful because it’s hot and I don’t want it all to crush up I’m going to cover it again and I’m going to leave it in the refrigerator
Probably about five or six hours but if you want to make it do this the night before you can and just leave it in there all night so this is our next step all right I’m going to cover it up put it in the fridge and we’ll be back sorry about that
Aren’t our potatoes are in the refrigerator cooling and while they’re cooling I went ahead and mix this up I’m trying to get ahead of myself so that I don’t have as much to do on a holiday or when I’m having company and this is four chopped hard-boiled eggs 1 cup of
Mayonnaise 1/3 of a cup of chopped onions and a half a cup of chopped celery and I mixed it all together and I just got it sitting in the refrigerator till my potatoes are ready so we’ll be back when everything gets ready all right we’re back and my potatoes are
Totally cool it took between five and six hours in the fridge and if you have glass shelves be sure and put it on a put your hot bowl on a towel or a pot holder or something to absorb some of the heat because you don’t want to crack
Your your shelves your shelving alright now remember this is the stuff this is the mixture that I had done earlier which is one cup of mayonnaise four chopped hardboard up below eggs 1/2 a cup of celery and a third of a cup of onions and I’m going to pour it in spend
In the fridge too so it’s good and cold I’m gonna put this in here as well there we go and I’m gonna start mixing it in Sam’s here to taste it I sure AM I love potato salad good potato salad I hope you’ll like this you’ve had it before
But it’s been a long time yeah my mother baked good potato did she what are you late I don’t remember I didn’t like that dark spot so I took it out well this wasn’t supposed to have any but it did have a few y’all welcome to all my new subs and my old
Ones my loyal standby subs I’m trying to get this mixed in I’ll write this recipe down below and the way I mixed it up because it’s easier and it wasn’t in the original directions this was a pillsbury favorite recipe alright I think I got it pretty well mixed in
Here now and I’m gonna give him a small bowl now I put some pep recon Tom and I’ll do that after I give him his portion you want a fork or a spoon soon I’ll get it I’m right here it shouldn’t mean any salt or pepper well it’s right here if you need it all right hang on now let me get over there there you go you tell me what you think now you all if you all want relishes in here sweeter deal you can
Add them at this time the last time I made it I made it just like this and I liked it but he may not it’s hard to talk when you well it’s your taste good I don’t know what I was in it but I didn’t taste some
Potatoes mm-hmm that’s placed a lot like my mother quite honestly it’s delicious it really is and you didn’t add any relish well no I think you need any according away it tastes Seriously this is but it’s good a potato salad I’ve ever eaten you don’t want me to add any sweet sweet relish your deal really sure I wouldn’t fight it needs it now I mean I don’t think it could taste much better if or any better all right I
Like the celery and onion potatoes very good yeah if y’all try this and make it and taste it you know before you add any relishes mother sighs you don’t need it I gotta say one more thing before I go I was in there watching the news tonight and somebody had pickpocketed a dwarf
And for the life of me I can’t imagine how anybody could stoop that low I mean that is low in it it is but you know the way the news is today yeah that’s great I think you’ve got my mother’s recipe are you gonna let some
Relish to mine I am just because I want to see what it tastes like did you taste it before well all right guys this will be perfect for Memorial Day it’s easy oh yeah go brave with barbecue ribs pork chops anything chicken JQ chicken anything old baked
Thing yeah anything so you all try this because you will like it I promise you you’ll like it it was a surprise to me the first time I made it as how good it was so um I’ll put the recipe down below for you let me see if I can and you can
Add a little paprika on top to make it pretty can’t you yeah right now but I go taste is what matters for me here we go here’s a little bit of smoked paprika let me get back over here this is smoked paprika it’s not hot that break it’s just smoked and that will
Finish it off and you’ll have a beautiful potato salad and if you’ve got more guests than this double it won’t hurt a thing so I want to thank all of you for spending part of your day with me it means a lot give me a thumbs up if you like the
Recipe and subscribe if you haven’t and hit that Bell that comes up and you’ll be notified every time I upload a new video so until next time you all take care and God bless every one of you

Definitely will have to try this by the way have you heard from Phyllis Stokes it was cancer in her liver she's going to be going through radiation and I think chemo also thought you might want to know
As usual, it looks great! I will give it a go this summer! Linda, you inspired me, not to make potato salad but macaroni salad. I've had a taste for it lately, so i mixed up some English salad cream and went at it! Finely chopped celery, diced scallion, cut up some small green olives with pimento, cayenne peppe, black pepper, and sweet pickle relish and elbow macaroni. I can't wait until it's ready to eat!
I'm making your lemon cheddar salad for Monday at the potluck!!
I have never heard of using frozen potatoes for potato salad, but this recipe looks wonderfully easy and fairly good proof! We are fans of sweet pickle relish and not of celery, so I would have to adapt it just a wee bit for us. But other than that, this will be going on my shopping list next week. It's just turned summer here and it's perfect weather for this salad. I just subscribed to your channel and I'm looking forward to seeing more of the recipes you have on your website.
Actually slightly warm potatoes absorb the rest of your ingredients. I’ve always done that and seems to meld better.
Linda, I think I remember you having a newer kind of pressure cooker. I’m hearing about quick pots and instapots and am confused. Can you give me some guidance?
Looks yummy!!
My oldest girl Toni (Antonia Suzanne age 22) made potato salad last night. We will have to try this one next time! It looks yummy!
Hi Ms. Linda and Mr. Sam! Yum! That looks good! I love potato salad! easy to make! I put relish in mine, BUT like you said, it may not need it! LOL SAM! That was funny!
Gonna try this one. Hopefully my kid and husband will like. They love my potatoes salad and when I try anything else they , well my kid, gets ticked..lol
This is something new, but will be putting in the sweet relish and sugar, and thanks.. different opinions.. But l will try the hash brown cause this is a life saver from peeling the potatoes, maybe a little of your way and the rest with the others ingredients that l grew up with. Again thanks you and your husband 😊👏👏👏
LOL looks good but Sam's joke was epic!!!
I am going to try this. Love not having to boil and dice the potato’s. ❤️🇺🇸👍🏻🙂
Hi, Linda. I made the potato salad yesterday, and we absolutely loved it! Not only is it delicious, it truly is easy, plus using light mayo kept the calorie count down. Thanks for another winner. 🙋💝💐
“That tasted a lot like my mother’s” and
“I think you have my mother’s recipe”
Enough said
Linda, i would never have thought of using frozen potatoes! Thank you! You are the best 😍
sounds wonderful, I will make it but with a twist for a Sunday meal
Thankyou lovely
I’m just starving myself because I’m going through your older videos I’ve missed. 🤣
This potato salad looks really delish and I can’t wait to try it!
Thanks so much.
Kathy
Oh my, using those frozen potatoes is something I never considered, but now I will! TYVM! My version of potato salad is off the charts unique, but great if you love the ingredients: celery, onions, cukes, dill pickles, green olives, maybe capers — along with the usual mayo (or your sub and/or mix of sour cream, mayo, yogurt), mustard, and I like to decorate with chives (and, for myself, chile peppers). Mom used to add sliced hard-boiled eggs on top, with paprika, but I like them halved, on the side — where I could eat half a dozen, easily. FTR, I'll eat any potato salad that isn't sweet!
I think I’d probably add sweet pickle relish and a little sugar. Looks good.
Sam is such a good taste tester. He never says anything bad about your dishes. 😁
I like this recipe. I'm on my way to bed, and now you've made me hungry. Tomorrow I make potato salad.
Hi there! I'm a new sub. I can't wait to try this potatoe salad! Thankyou!
Potato salad looks great. I would add dill relish.
Sam spoke of his mother's recipe. Is he your nephew, if I may ask. Thot maybe he was your son till he mentioned his mom. Thanks.
Have a great weekend.

You can also use pickle relish instead of celery and add some plain yellow mustard if you want.
