WELCOME BACK WITH ANOTHER NOW SERVING WITH VISIT OMAHA. WE’RE HERE AT EL BASHA. IT’S AT 75TH PACIFIC AREA AND THIS IS THE OWNER, AHMAD NABULSI. HOW ARE YOU? GOOD. HOW ARE YOU? I’M SO GOOD. I’M EXCITED TO TALK ABOUT ALL OF THIS STUFF. BUT FIRST, BEFORE WE GET THERE,

I WANTED TO ASK YOU. YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN AT THIS LOCATION FOR A VERY LONG TIME. WE’VE BEEN AROUND LIKE 17, 18 YEARS. WOW. WE’VE BEEN HERE. YEAH, I’M SURE, I’M SURE A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE BEEN COMING FOR 17 YEARS. YES. YES INDEED. YES. ALL RIGHT, WELL, LET’S GET INTO THESE DISHESES.

SO LET’S START OVER HERE. WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE? ACTUALLY HERE WE HAVE THE MIXED GRILL. IT HAS THE KOFTA KABOB SKEWER. AND THEN WE HAVE THE CHICKEN KEBAB AND THE GYRO MEAT WITH THE GRILLED VEGETABLES AND THE SAUCE, GARLIC SAUCE AND THE TAZIKI SAUCE. AND THEN THIS ONE.

AND THEN HERE WE HAVE THE MASA PLATE. IT HAS THE HUMMUS, THE BABA GANOUSH, THE FALAFEL AND THE TABBOULEH SALAD. IT’S ALL VEGETARIAN. ALL, UH, NO MEAT SERVED WITH THE PITA BREAD. AND THEN WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THOSE TWO? THE HUMMUS. IT’S THE GARBANZO BEANS DIPS AND THE BABA GANOUSH.

IT’S THE EGGPLANTS PARADE. OH. ROASTED EGGPLANT. YEAH, I LIKE THAT. OKAY. AND THIS A NICE HEALTHY SALAD. HERE WE HAVE THE CHICKEN SHAWARMA SALAD. IT’S FRESH VEGETABLES. AND THEN WE GRILL CHICKEN AND WE TOAST IT WITH GARLIC, LEMON SAUCE. OKAY. AND THEN THIS ONE OVER HERE AND HERE.

THE MAIN THINGS IT’S THE GYRO COMBO. IT’S A GYRO MEAT WITH THE FRENCH FRIES. AND THE TAZIKI SAUCE WITH TOMATO AND ONION. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE OUT OF THESE E FOUR? UH, DEPENDS. YOU KNOW, IT’S A FULL MEAL. YOU KNOW, IF YOU WANT SOMETHING LIGHT, VEGETARIAN, YOU COULD GO WITH THIS OR THIS.

SOMETHING HEAVY. YOU COULD GO WITH THE MIXED GRILL OR THE GYRO. OKAY, GREAT. AND THEN THIS HERE, THE PITA BREAD WOULD GO WITH THE APPETIZER AND IT’S LIKE A LITTLE POCKET, RIGHT. LIKE A DEBIT OR A FAILURE OF AND ACCURATE WITH THE BREAD. THAT IS AWESOME. SO UM, TELL ME A LITTLE BIT

ABOUT LIKE YOUR INSPIRATION FOR THESE, UM, YOU KNOW, PLATES. WE’VE BEEN HERE DOING THIS FOR SO LONG AND WE DO EVERYTHING IN THE HOUSE PREP TO ORDERS AND STUFF LIKE THIS. SO WE DON’T HAVE ANY THINGS PRESERVED OR ANYTHING. RIGHT? AND WE ALL. IT’S A FAMILY PLACE. WE ALL WORK HERE.

SO WE TRY TO KEEP IT FRESH AND HEALTHY. LEIGH. YES. AND WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE? THIS IS THIS IS THE TURKISH COFFEE. USUALLY AFTER MEAL, HEAVY MEAL. YOU KNOW, YOU JUST SIT AND HAVE A CUP OF COFFEE. IT’S A LITTLE STRONGER. IT’S LIKE ESPRESSO, BUT IT’S PREPARED DIFFERENT WAY.

WELL, LET’S HAVE A LET’S HAVE. DO YOU. CAN WE HAVE A GLASS? SURE. OKAY. AND THIS IS TRADITIONAL WAY YOU WOULD MAKE IT EXACTLY. SO WHAT’S FUNNY ABOUT THIS IS, UM, I HAVEN’T HAD D COFFEE YET TODAY, SO I LIKE THAT. IT’S STRONG. IT KEEPS YOU AWAY. AND THEN. THANK YOU.
