In today’s video, I am sharing a recipe for Filo Strudel, a delightful dessert that’s sure to impress your family and friends. Made with layers of flaky filo pastry and apple-walnut filling, this dessert is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:

* 8 sheets of filo pastry

Apple-walnut filling:
* 5-6 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
* 40 g melted butter
* 1 tbsp brown sugar
* 1 tsp ground cinnamon
* 1/2 tsp nutmeg
* 1 tbsp corn flour
* 80 g chopped walnuts

For assembly:
* 160 g ground walnuts
* 2 tbsp brown sugar
* 1 tsp cinnamon
* 100 g melted butter (for brushing)
* 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
* Powdered sugar for dusting

Serve with vanilla ice cream 🙂

Walnuts (245 g) Roast in oven for 6 minutes at 355°F (180°C) 5-6 apples Unsalted butter (40 g) Add apples, brown sugar (1 tbsp), cinnamon (1 tsp), nutmeg (1/2 tsp) Simmer for 10 minutes on low heat Corn flour (1 tbsp) Grind 2/3 of roasted walnuts

Combine ground walnuts with brown sugar (2 tbsp) and cinnamon (1 tsp) Chop the rest of walnuts Lay out two sheets of filo pastry and brush with melted butter Sprinkle 1/3 of the walnut mix all over the filo pastry evenly Place another two sheets on top and repeat the procedure 2 more times

Place the final two sheets (#7 and 8) Spoon breadcrumbs (3 tbsp) and apples Brush with melted butter Brush the strudel generously with butter Bake at 355°F (180°C) for 30 minutes or until golden Dust with icing sugar Serve with vanilla ice 🙂
