Rico Soul Italia Eats Vodka Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
———————
Olive Oil: 2 Tablespoons
Butter: 2 Tablespoons
Onion: 1 Medium Size Diced
Garlic Cloves: 5 Chopped
Vodka: 1/2 Cup
Crushed Tomatoes: 28oz
Basil: 3 To 4 Leaves
Heavy Cream: 1 Cup
Parmigiano Reggiano: 1 Cup
Italian Seasoning: 2 Tablespoons
Garlic Powder: 1 Tablespoons
Sea Salt: 1 Teaspoon + (5 Pinches To Tomato Sauce)
Pepper: 1/2 Teaspoon + (1/4 Teaspoon To Tomato Sauce)
Pasta Water: 1 Ladle
Parsley: A Dusting Of Fresh Chopped Fine Parsley , Or Dry Parsley. (For Presentation Purposes.)
Basil: 2 To 3 Small Basil Leaves Per Plate. (For Presentation If You Don’t Have Parsley.)

Instructions

1.) Chop & Slice 5 Garlic Cloves.
2.) Dice 1 Medium Onion.
3.) Turn Pan On Medium Heat, Then Pure 2 Tablespoons Of Olive Oil Along With 1 Tablespoon Of Butter Into Pot & Let Melt.
4.) Then Add Onions & Sauté Until They Are Soft.
5.) Once Onions Are Soft Add 5 Chopped Garlic Cloves & Sauté Until Soft.
6.) Add 2 Tablespoons Of Italian Seasoning Once Onions & Garlic Are Sautéed.
7.) Add 1/2 Teaspoon Of Pepper, 1 Teaspoon Of Sea Salt, & 1 Tablespoon Of Granulated Garlic Powder.
8.) Add 1/2 Cup Of Vodka & Let Simmer For 2 To 4 Minutes Or Until Reduced.
9.) Add 28oz Can Of Crushed Tomatoes, Along With 4 To 5 Pinches Of Salt, & 1/4 Teaspoon Of Pepper, & 1/2 Teaspoon Of Garlic Powder.
10.) Turn Heat Down & Let Simmer For 30 To 35 Minutes. Make Sure To Stir Occasionally So As Not To Allow Sauce To Stick To Bottom Of Pot/Pan & Burn.
11.) Boil About 1 Gallon Of Water, Add Salt For Flavor & Add Any 12oz To 16oz Box Of Pasta To Pot. Preferably The Pasta That Will Be Eaten With This Sauce. (We’re Going To Need 1 Ladle Of Pasta Water To Finish Vodka Sauce. But Before You Add That Ladle Of Pasta Water Do Steps 12 Through 14 Below First.)
12) Next, Add 1 Cup Of Heavy Cream.
13.) Add 1 Cup Parmigiano Reggiano. Mix In Little By Little & Stir In Well.
14.) Add 1 Tablespoon Of Butter To Pan.
15.) Add 1 Ladle Of Pasta Water & Stir In Well With Sauce.
16.) Keep On A Low Simmer Until Ready To Serve.
17.) When Serving This Vodka Sauce On Pasta Dishes, Or Any Other Dish, Top With Pecorino Romano, And A Dusting Of Fresh Chopped Parsley, Or Fine Chopped Dry Parsley, Or A Few Small Basil Leaves. (Parsley & Basil Are For Presentation Purposes, Pecorino Romano Is For Enhanced Flavor.)
