Learn how to make Apple Crumble – Sweet Dessert Recipe By Ruchi Bharani

Looking for a warm dessert in a cold weather, apple crumble can be the perfect fit. Its simple and easy to make using minimum ingredients and a very quick homemade dessert recipe. Chef Ruchi Bharani teaches how to make this Indian Christmas special sweet dish recipe.

Ingredients:
2 cups apple (peeled & chopped)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

3/4 cup plain flour
4 tbsp Caster Sugar
Salt
30 gms Butter

Method:
– Mix well apple, brown sugar, cinnamon powder and put in a baking tray
– In a bowl take plain flour, Caster Sugar, salt, butter and mix everything well to make a mixture like bread crumbs
– Spread the flour mixture on the sugar coated apples from top
– Bake the apple crumble at 180 C in a preheated oven for at least 10 mins, then at 160 C for another 15 mins approx.
– The dish is ready to be served hot.

  2. +Shashi Saini – Caster sugar is superfine sugar which is easily available and is used in baking . Make sure u keep the crumble mixture bread crumb consistency and not into a fine powder. The apple will ooze out a little water which will mix withe sugar and settle at the bottom that is absolutely fine u can drizzle a little of that liquid on top. When u get the dish out of the oven tap the crumble with a spoon and if it makes a hollow sound it's ready ( cook the apple crumble till it's brown )
