Welcome everyone today I’m going to be making chili a slow cooker chili and this is more because it’s fall footballs in full gear and then these fanatics are out there tailgating already in the crock-pot two pounds of ground beef that I seasoned with about a teaspoon of salt

Kosher and about a teaspoon of black pepper strained it off so we don’t have the juices with that looking down here Pull the pepper and cayenne pepper half a teaspoon each white pepper black pepper half a teaspoon each kosher salt teaspoon ground cumin Center this is one and a half teaspoons this is half of one red onion and it’s about a tablespoon of garlic it was for close

Those are both chopped again that’s half of one red onion this is one white onion chopped and this is to red bell peppers chart now on the pepper note and the spice map for that matter my family likes my old chilli sauce making this for myself or

For making it fizz your spice lover feel free to use habanero a jalapeno or serrano chile chop them up nice and fine taking the seeds out will make it less spicy same thing for the spices if you want to hit it with a little more heat

Feel free to throw a little more than just a half teaspoon but any of the peppers in there that’ll kick up that heat flavor for you moving on these are 14 and 1/2 ounce and tomatoes this happens to be a same thing so there’s two 14 ounce cans We’re gonna cook this slow and low I would suggest eight hours min I like to do my chili overnight overnight although chilly if you let it cook for a while the more flavorful it gets besides 14 and a half ounce tomato sauce there’s two of those we’ve got a pretty good full crock-pot

The last thing rising Lee my family while they’re not big on really spicy stuff everybody seems to like Frank’s redhot this is 1/2 cup of Frank’s redhot that’s everything turn around maybe come back and mix it every once in a while just to make sure that everything is combining like I said

Low that’s low continue with the slow cooker chili it’s been cooking for about six seven hours somewhere in between there so let’s take a look I have stirred a couple times during the cooking process just to make sure that everything is getting nice and combined

And you can see this is a pretty good thing chili this is ready to serve again I’m gonna let it go overnight this is certainly ready to serve for now I would serve this with some crackers maybe a little hit of cheese if you like cheese on your chili you know the drill

  1. Just moved this last week, and don’t have my slow cooker. But I love this recipe, think I could cook it over the stove? If so, what changes would need to be made .

  2. I tried NM red chile powder from Chimayo, but I’m pretty sure that’s okay. I don’t usually use 2 cans diced, but that because someone in my family doesn’t like them whole like that. I just used one and a can of crushed tomatoes. Of course, I also put some beans in.

  3. Thanks! Just to share my mom always put chopped giardinara peppers, probably brings that note of vinegar that Frank's hot sauce has.
I add chunks of zucchini because there's always one sitting in the fridge.

edit..i meant Pepperoncini peppers. giardinara would be weird

  4. Locking those latches during cooking might build up pressure and might cause the lid to shatter or even cause the Stoneware to break, they are meant for sealing during transport

  5. We love the recipe! It's perfect for our family, especially not having beans in it. It's great to throw it on and have it ready for you when you get home from work.

  6. "If you're making it just for you/if you're a spice lover feel free to add more spices" Say no more I'm chopping some fresh habnero into this bad boy

If you like venison then totally try this but swap the meat for venison, add like a teaspoon of brown sugar and then however much ghost pepper hot sauce you can handle

  7. I'm not a fan of Frank's red hot. It's just a higher quality of the same generic flavor. What I prefer – is Peggy's hot sauce. Just the right spice, just the perfect flavor for chili.

  8. 6 years and I still watch this video every time I make Chilli. Wish this channel had more content. Hope this guy is doing well. 🙏

  9. Love it!! Yummy, excellent flavor. The only thing I regret is that now i am officially in charge of the chili department at home. I will fix another batch tomorrow. Thank you buddy and have a merry Christmas!

  10. No thanks!!! WAY TOO MANY INGREDIENTS! Do you know how much work it is to chop & put all those ingredients in? Use a chili packet – saves TONS of time.
