Garlic Confit 🧄

Garlic confit consists of covering garlic cloves in oil and cooking at low heat until tender. This transforms the raw and robustly forward flavor of uncooked garlic to a subtly sweet and nutty flavor. In addition, the garlic cloves become softened and can be spread like butter. The oil can be infused with various aliums, spices, and herbs, which add another creative dynamic and help elevate the flavor profile. Feel free to use it on cooked meats, in salad dressings, or in any way you can imagine. Hope you give it a try!

Ingredients:
-20 to 30 peeled garlic cloves
-olive oil
-salt and pepper
-red chili flakes (optional)
-dried bay leaves (optional)
-fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, etc.) (optional)

Instructions:
-preheat the oven to 250F
-place the peeled garlic in a shallow, oven-safe container
-add the garlic cloves into the container and cover them in olive oil until fully submerged
-add salt, pepper, and any other desired additions
-place the container on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 2 hours
-carefully remove the tray when finished and allow the garlic and oil to cool for at least 30 minutes
-transfer into an airtight container with a lid and store in the fridge for up to 1-2 weeks

Neat thing about the garlic from feet is you can Infuse the oil with whatever you’d like I’m doing salt pepper red chili flakes bay leaf but you can honestly add other herbs as well I place it on a baking sheet and I bake for 2 hours I hope all you garlic lover
