Here’s a quick recipe for a delicious, healthy, homemade Bolognese Sauce:

Ingredients:

• 200 g ground beef or turkey
• 1 onion
• 3-5 cloves garlic
• 2 cans crushed tomatoes
How to:

• dice the onion
• peel, crush and mince the garlic
• heat a dash of olive oil in a pot
• cook the ground meat until brown and fully cooked (high temperature)
• lower the temperature, add onions and cook until translucent (approx. 5 min)
• add garlic and cook for 1 more minute (until fragrant)
• season the meat with a generous amount of salt and pepper
(add a little broth if you like)
• Add crushed tomatoes, cover with a lid and simmer for 15-20 minutes
• Season to taste with salt, pepper and Italian herbs
• Turn off the heat. Leave the pot on the stove for another 5 minutes to allow for the aroma of the herbs to unfold
