Hi everyone welcome to another video this video we’re going to do a week of dinners with a resident doctor I’m going to show you guys what I make I’ll also show the recipes we’re going to keep them simple pretty healthy delicious and today’s Monday day one we’re starting I’ve been wanting to make

Lasagna um and I finally got lasagna so I’m going to show you guys what I’m going to make and how I’m going to make the lasagna it’s going to be super simple and I’ll show you the hacks that I have but then also I think I’m going

To do like roasted beet salad and maybe just like um Romain salad as well so I’ll take you guys with me the entire point of this video is just to show you guys recipe inso and easy recipe inso that you guys can also do when you also

Busy so let’s get to cook it here I’m going to do the ground turkey we’re going to do the lasagna with ground turkey I usually do tofu lasagna which is also super good but I want to do one this way this time so I’m going to sauté

The ground turkey the oven is already preheating to 3.95 here I’m going to do some sauteed veggies for the filling we’re going to do a zucchini a container of mushrooms that my husband is currently cleaning and jalapeno so zucchini mushroom jalapeno do you want any other veggies in it m no

Okay so we’re going to sauté those and then I’ll show you guys once I’m assembled clean the lasagna saut the ground turkey with a heaping spoon of this pepper paste like a big good spoon generous amount of Wester sauce my wer thank you then we’re going to do this it’s

Like a meat kind of seasoning it’s different types of pepper seasonings I really don’t know I think it’s like all spice of some sort my mom or maybe my grandma put it to together do the rest of this taco seasoning mix and then salt and we’re just going to cook that

Like taco meat are the M how are the mushrooms going they’re going all right are you really taking your job seriously you could have just like cleaned it with a paper towel you know what the never done that before this is what you do you

Peel it yeah wow clean it with a paper towel yes mushroom yes huh how do you guys clean your mushrooms I just like get a paper towel and like wipe the dirt off and he’s like peeling the I mean it looks stunning yeah but I would never have the patience to do that

Interesting oh yeah you use a knife wow that’s some restaurant stuff right there this tray is going to be for our roasted beets I got a ginormous beet yesterday and I just cleaned it and I diced them up so I’m just going to pop them in the

Oven and roast them while the lasagna is also cooking I’m going to do some spray on here because all you need to do is do this and that and assemble once you do like you have the filling ready I don’t I get the ready cooked lasagna so let me

Show you you have to get this type of oven ready lasagna so you don’t have to boil this type of lasagna and then like assemble already boiled lasagna you know what I mean you literally just layer this in the pan put your toppings or your fillings cover and bake like it’s

This is the only um like 40 minutes wao what about if you turn up the heat are you hungry if you turn up the heat will you reduce time yeah so like the on the handson time is not that high but obviously you have to cook the on it so

That tastes can I do some soy sauce with the veggies we’re going to just assemble our lasagna first definitely spray it really well so it doesn’t stick our first layer of oven ready lasagna let’s do one two three you can do whatever other protein you want obviously you could do ground

Beef you can do tofu you can do no like just cheese do a layer the veg we’re going to layer it so it won’t look it looks a little sad now but it’s going to be good and then we’ll put another lasagna sheet this one’s trash thank you

More yes chef yes chef behind Chef Corner Chef we’re watching bear so if you guys have seen bear I got this block of Parmesan cheese so you can do any type of cheese but it’s going to be really good with it that’s also like the best thing about lasagna you could put

Whatever you want in it like who’s going to know I yeah I mean and it’s it’s going to be good it’s like dough and cheese I feel like I used to think lasagna was not like the best for you but then you realize how like such a balanced meal it

Is like you’ve got the carbs you’ve got the protein you’ve got the veggies okay last layer now we’re going to top it with a jar of sauce this is just from Aldi but you could do whatever you want we want to coat it really nicely I like to add some water into the

Jar and pour it over like that because it when I cover it it helps steam the pasta around and then I always havep it with oregano because I feel like you can’t have an Italian sort of dish without oregano it’s one of my favorite spices you just cover it with

Foil beets roasting and then I’m going to put the lasagna tell me what you said again my husband said he’s super impressed that I made lasagna look like it’s so easy to make should probably skip the step in like did you skip a step when I wasn’t here no it’s just

That like you if you I mean this is not fancy authentic like as lasagna but it’s good hell yeah and like again like you’ve got your carbs your protein it looks harder than that it looks like you put a lot more work than you did yeah

It’s like not that effort I feel like just like don’t complicate it so the reason it’s hard to do dinners week of dinners is because of that my mom gives us food all the time so she gave me dolma which is an Armenian dish technically could have been dinner but

My husband doesn’t like it so I’m going to eat this by myself unless you want some nothing okay my lettuce my salad dressing is going to be super simple garlic puree you can also just do like diced garlic I like to just blend up garlic and keep it in a Tupper wear

Like this because I put Garlic in almost all my meals so it’s just super simple a te ooon of Deon mustard I love Deon olive oil these lemon juice so I keep it in a container for easy meals like this so that I don’t have to

Like I don’t know maybe one to two lemons this is how I cook you guys I don’t like use recipes and then we’re going to do salt of course the salad is so good it’s literally so simple to make that’s why why I love homemade dressings they’re so easy to make the ingredients

Are usually really healthy and doesn’t have like extra oils and gums in there and so good so fresh you can do cucumbers tomato avocado olives like Jud it up as much as you want but we’re going to keep it simple just took it out it’s been 25 minutes so like technically you can

Leave it in longer but it’s cooked and we’re starving looks so good I love that show them our um our roasted beads pow I did roasted beets with literally sea salt and avocado oil spray and he hates beets and said wow that’s so good yeah this was the first yeah he’s

Actually going to eat them so let’s serve serve it did you get cont yes I did okay you guys Happy Tuesday um I just got home from the gym and I’ve like been working up the courd to make dinner so we’re going to do something super easy and low effort today but also

Something super delicious and I’ve kind of been craving it it is a tofu coconut curry kind of vibe recipe I have made it so many times that I just don’t follow a recipe anymore I kind of just do my own thing if you don’t like tofu make the recipe I promise it tastes

So good um I serve it with a better rice and it’s just delicious it’s like a cozy hug in a bowl and also it’s just so easy to do you got the high protein add veggies in it so it’s super well balanced and I think we’re going to make that

Today um my husband’s still at the gym so we have time and honestly I’m starving already so I might have a snack while we make dinner but let’s let’s go let’s let’s get it over with so I can shower I told you guys yesterday that my mom always

Gives us food she GES us enchiladas today so this this might be my husband’s lunch for tomorrow and I’ll just cook dinner for us to eat together I’m going to do is cook rice I usually do hold on so I almost always do basmati rice I um or Jasmine rice and then I

Always make my rice Armenian Style with verelli noodles um I’ve made it in my other like recipe videos so I’ll show you guys it’s very easy very little efforts um I feel like you guys are getting that the same here is low effort so we’re going to add some avocado or olive

Oil time I’m going to wash my rice always wash your rice people I’m just going to do one cup of rice that should be good for like four servings I’m going to add some rever Chell noodles I really don’t measure at all but I think like 1/4 cup is is maybe

A little bit less is safe once I toast that I’ll put in the rice and put some water you can either do water or like chicken broth I think I have broth in the garage let me go check okay once it gets a little golden and this is chicken stock from Costco

Woo and then salt so we’re going to let the rice cook and then get started on the actual meal part because I want diced onions in my meal I’m going to use this little like contraption that I have it’s like a veggie Chopper to do um to dice the

Onions you definitely don’t need to do this you can hand dice them but I’m going to use this to dice like at least two to three onions and then I’ll keep diced onions in a tupperware in the fridge so that for the rest of the week

When I make meals and I I want onions it’s already like diced and ready to go so it’s just a really simple timesaving hack like once you’re going to use onions just chop a lot more if you don’t have this just like chop a couple more

Put it in tupperware keep it in the fridge so tomorrow or the next day that you make a meal you don’t have to chop onions again it’s just it’s just annoying you know it’s like an extra oh my gosh I like kind of spilled rice everywhere so we got rice falling over

So it’s the best thing right now okay we’re going to start with the dish spray some avocado oil garlic I very generous with my garlic when I cook we’re going to add a diced jalapeno okay once these sauté and start to turn translucent we’re going to add

Our spices and sauté the spices so once again surprise surprise I don’t measure but let’s do this we’re going to do about a teaspoon of turmeric about two 2 tpoon Curry maybe 2 tbspoon of curry powder about a teaspoon of cumin about a teaspoon of onion powder o teaspoon of

Paprika and then a teaspoon of black pepper tablespoons of salt so you’re going to basically toast the spices up when you toast them they get a lot more aromatic and fragrant that now the best part for this dish is canned fire roasted tomatoes can you see me oh gosh

I get them from Trader Joe’s but unfortunately they were out like the store did not have any so instead I’m just going to do some DIC fresh tomatoes these are the compari tomatoes that I diced up I think it’s just like four tomatoes it doesn’t have to be a

Lot then we’re going to do one can of coconut milk this is just um from Trader Joe’s you can also sub oat milk because it has the same creaminess for it or probably like heavy cream but obviously if you want it to be like a coconut

Curry I would do coconut milk while I’m going to dice up the tofu um I do this I just have this it’s from Costco but they also have tofu everywhere this is is firm but you can also do extra firm if you want to in here my favorite is always some frozen

Peas it goes so so well so I’m going to add whatever is left in this bag maybe like a cup again it’s adding extra veggies and protein and then I always add frozen broccoli this is just organic frozen broccoli from Trader Joe’s so try to to submerge it a little

Bit into the coconut milk and then the best part just cover it and you let it cook for like maybe 20 minutes I literally love this meal because if you weren’t talking like I was to the camera you could have done all of that in like

10 minutes and then just let it cook for like 20 minutes um and then another thing that I love about this meal is that it’s even better as leftovers so tomorrow it’ll soak and absorb all the flavor and it just gets so much more flavorful so again highly recommend but

I’ll talk to you guys once it’s ready okay this is how I serve it I’m going to put some cilantro on top for some freshness and then you can also do some toasted peanuts which are super good but I don’t have any so this is the final meal

Water welcome to Wednesday dinner you guys my husband is on dinner duty today oh yeah he’s he said he found this recipe that he wants to make for us GRE pasta green pasta green pasta green pasta uh okay so I’m going to be his Sue chef and he’s going to make green pasta

Apparently and we’re going to blanch kale which is we’re going to blanch what is just boil don’t be weird just boil it you just Bo for like a little for minutes and cold water yet okay you don’t have to measure I’m not going to what’s the situation what’s going on don’t worry

Oo baby I’m going use this or should I use this oh do you want the vitamic no I’m use this are you blending tofu yes I’m excited did you put salt in this water no I said no for blanching you need to put salt Blan I don’t think you think it’s I don’t

Know no no then you’re just going to pour everything here and then flip it over and then yeah no what the hell how else would you do this you first close it and then oh yeah I would have figured that part out after bab PE what the heck there’s nothing in here

Yet I’m a little worried I’m little worried I’m not a control freak I’m just a leader this is going to be [Applause] fine why are you laughing this is pretty fun this is pretty fun I can see why you do this recording yeah you make a game

For yourself you feed yourself but like you turn it into a game show people oh you’re showing them okay where do you put pine nuts almonds you should have some of these no know I want to wait for dinner and then cashews yeah we put some pine nuts some almonds and we’re going

To put some cashews mhm and roast them okay in a blender he put this garlic puree that I have so just garlic and then does it have to be truffle no okay just truffle oil but I found it okay refer refer to videoin Pasta in garlic olive oil and

Lemon juice lemon juice garlic olive oil lemon juice okay okay blanch kale and an ice bath and an ice bath mhm to stop it from cooking mhm do not learn this in the morning this is some professional stuff right here I don’t know about you then you drink the water it’s very

Good that is some vitamin Licious water for sure this going to taste if this turns out good we could totally make this more cuz it’s super easy it look get big tail uhhuh squeeze that the out all the water let’s put it in our blender seal that up okay blend the first

Step oh my God a little one just the baby did you see the no no no literally the one time he cooks look at the counter look at the floor it’s all kale nutritional least complaint I hear complaints just feedback I hear just Fe just feedback okay once that’s Blended we’re going to

Add tofu uhhm the whole cube right let blend it first so it actually work you’re just going to do half the CBE no I’m put the other one after oh un nutritionally ye white okay you have a reason tell tell if he told me oh okay he did mhm oh okay so

Chaotic have you ever Blended anything before never never I knew you especially not tofu I don’t think you’ve ever used a blender before how hard is it like you’ve never made a smoothie come you would just do your post workout like dry like just like with a Shaker gross

Mhm all this dishes are making well for myself then he’s going to add in the toasted nuts as well I you might have just use your hands use your hands it’s going to spill everywhere oh my God I was on camera saying use your hand it’s going to spill everywhere this going to

Take some salts too yeah we’re going to use this pasta it’s from like Trader Joe’s they had a seasonal multiple different types of pastas I’m literally dying this is just continuing he feels oh you can’t see I need to turn the light on hold on I’m like hanging out at the couch

Right cuz he’s finishing up dinner he fills this poppy for us which was very sweet but then he like spilled this this this is just why like why do you spill everything I make you nervous why are you sweating this is hot as heck it is

Hot in here we need to open the door that looks so good and creamy what in the world you Blended the sauce with some pasta water too mhm okay andrate some Parmesan on top you want me to put parmesan on all of it um you could just put it on our plates that’s

Fine wow that’s some good grading skills looks fire is that Crush red peppers Crush this looks so good it’s I mean I already ate it it’s really good I like that it’s creamy it’s got kale and all the healthy stuff in it it’s like a really a really

Nice way to hide stuff if people hate the ingredients it doesn’t taste like kale at all it doesn’t taste like tofu at all no not at all yeah you hate tofu all righty you guys happy Thursday I just got home from the gym and took a shower work obviously I’m contemplating what I’m

Going to make for dinner today I kind of wanted to do tuna sandwich like caned tuna cuz it’s super simple I am just looking at what’s in the fridge and we’re going to we’re going to take it from there here you guys can take a look too so

Um we are going to sauté some leaks do some some stir fried leaks I’m just going to slice them up thinly we’re going to do ground turkey taco bowl style this is from Costco and then I have three heads of cauliflower so I’ll probably just do one

Head and first I’ll steam it so that it Quicks faster and then I’ll probably pop it in the air fryer so let’s let’s go the first thing I’m actually going to do because it’s super easy and it will cook while I do the rest of the meals is make

The rice I’m where is it I’m going to make the same style like I’m going to make basically the rice the same that I did 2 days ago so I’m not going to show you the step by step but basically make a carbohydrate of your choice mine is going to be rice

We had pasta yesterday I you can also do orzo you can do literally whatever grain that you want um you can do lentils so I’m going to make that and I’ll talk to you in a second okay my rice is cooking the next question you have to ask yourself is what is what

Else takes longer so it will save you time if you do the things that take the longest and get those started so so that they’re cooking while you do all the other things and because cauliflower is a tough vegetable it takes a little longer to cook so I’m going to steam the

Cauliflower while the rice cooks and then as this is steaming I’ll work on the protein so I’m just going to cut it into like um fents and then I’ll show you what sort of contraption I use to steam it um you can boil it really just

Like do whatever you have you know like make it personal so I’m going to individually separate the florettes so this is the steaming contraption that I have it’s a ninja pan and it comes with this steaming uh basket you put some water under it you turn it on and then you put your

Vegetables in here and then you cover it and it steams so it’s just super nice it’s very convenient all it is is one extra bin over here okay I actually put two heads of cauliflower so that I have leftovers for tomorrow and it’s like a good amount but

Even if we have a lot extra my husband loves cauliflower so it’s like a nice healthy snack and then while that is steaming I’m going to start on the ground turkey meat um I showed you guys a couple of days ago when I was chopping onions for something I don’t remember

What I was making but I would I had like diced up a lot of extra onions and I told you I keep it in the fridge for so that I can use it other days well this is me showing you guys that now I don’t have to dice onions I already have

Chopped onions that I just pop and ready to go so just little tips and tricks to make your life a little bit easier also I don’t know if I shared last time but my trick that I learned from my mom for Rice once it’s done cooking you put a paper towel over it

And then you put the cap over it set it aside and let it just chill and it makes it really nice and fluffy so I always do that with my rice and we’ll start working on the turkey meat okay to the ground turkey I’m going

To do what I always do a good amount of Wester sauce spoon of pepper paste this makes it really spicy so if you don’t love spicy food don’t do that very generous with my seasonings like black pepper all spice mix that my mom mom has prepped you can really just do

Whatever you have whatever you like just make sure you’re not eating gland food all right spice it up left of this taco seasoning mix from Trader Joe’s to a good amount of salt once the cauliflower is fork tender meaning I can put a fork through it that

Means it’s steamed enough you don’t want to over steam it um because then it’s just going to be mushy so I’m going to turn it off and then I’m going to pop some in the air fryer so they get nice and crispy as well so leaks if you have

No idea how to use this vegetable I will show you leaks are super good for like soups and stews but you definitely don’t need to make it that way I like to do stir fries um with it so I’ll show you what I do I will slice it thinly through the

Center because it’s very dirty inside are you ready so it needs to be washed super super well and that’s why I like to cut through it so that I can get through the dirt and make sure I’m washing it all super well so I’m going

To do that right now sauté it with some seasonings I’m literally just going to sauté this with some soy sauce and it’s going to cook down gets nice and caramelized yummy okay now is assembly time I’m not a beautiful plater so don’t judge my plating but the food tastes good

Okay could do it like on top it’ll be a nice garnish for the rice leak protein ground turkey and then this is what the cauliflower turned out to be I did some avocado oil spray and salt and air fry is making it nice and crispy so we’re going to do some cauliflower

Too and then this is an optional top you can top it with a dressing if you want this is BU buttery buffalo sauce from Costco ingredients not too bad it tastes super super good so you can just top it with a little dressing dinner guys we have made it to

Friday it has been what seems like a very long week today has been a very long day because I’m on call I just got home from work and I’m actually going to go out with my friends tonight so I’m going to make dinner just really quick

We’re going to get like finger food and drinks so not like a dinner dinner so I’m going to make something very easy I’m just going to do a tuna melt like tuna sandwich kind of situation I have these canned Alora wild Tunas from um Costco so we’re just going to make a

Tuna salad and then make put it in sourdough bread and call it a day so I’ll show you guys how I make my tuna salad typically I’m going to do two cans one can has 33 g of protein so this is like such a super high protein simple

Meal if you don’t like can tuna then I’m sorry um maybe don’t make this recipe but I promise it’s like if you like seafood then it’s super delicious and this one is wild okay this is actually three cans cuz I feel like they’re tiny

Um and now I just get a fork and I mash it up super super well the better you mash it up the the like yummier it’s going to be cuz then you can cope a lot of the protein and like the sauce and stuff so I’m going to do that okay I’m

Kind of upset because we are apparently out of Greek yogurt and I love putting Greek yogurt in my recipes because it’s such an easy way to make it more high protein and creamy without using a ton of mayo so it adds like a lot more nutrition so we don’t have it but

Whatever we’re going to survive it’s okay I’m popping open this primal kitchen avocado oil mayonnaise cuz we’re going to do a scoop of this so add some toasted sesame seed oil this is mostly for the flavor of like the Sesame amount of lemon juice this is already freshly squeezed lemons so we’ll

Do a good amount of that so here’s the thing if you’re going to make this as a salad like putting putting it on top of Roma or lettuce or whatever then it would be really nice to add really thinly diced pickles and and celery but because I’m going to put it in the

Sandwich I’m just going to put the pickles and the jalapenos in the sandwich itself so that this can be a lot creamier so I added salt and black pepper love the way that foodie cut goes with it so I’ll show you guys Foody cck is a seaweed kind of seasoning um it’s

Like seaweed sesame seeds and stuff you can get it from Trader Joe’s but I like to add that in for like extra flavor honestly this tastes so good wow M A+ this is another really easy thing that you can make in 5 10 minutes and

Just keep it in the fridge as a meal prep or for like lazy days um because you can do multiple things with it you can put it in a bowl with like rice and veggies and like cucumbers or you can just put it on a bed of like make a

Salad out of it or you can put it in between two pieces of bread and make a tuna melt I’m going to do the second an option I have the sourdough um from the I have the sour dough from Trader Joe’s the ingredients I’m going to do some thinly sliced

Tomatoes some pickled jalapenos some avocado and then like thinly slices of cheese so that melts and that’s like really about it it’s going to be a really lazy simple dinner um you can also just eat this as with crackers as a snack so I’m going to put it together

Right now and I’ll show you guys the final product I do have like um a pine press but it’s in the garage I don’t have time for it so I’m just going to put it in the pan and press it down and call it a day this is the
