RECIPE for Creamy Tomato Soup 🍜
2 Tbsp butter
1 large white onion, finely chopped
1 clove of garlic, minced
2 Tbsp all-purpose flour (I used whole wheat)
3 cups chicken broth (I used Watkins)
1 can (28oz) diced, crushed or whole tomatoes
1 Tbsp sugar
¾ tsp thyme leaves
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup heavy cream

Today I’m cooking one of my family’s favorite recipes creamy tomato soup you’re going to need a can of crushed tomatoes some garlic one large onion and you’re going to put that in a pan with 2 tablespoons of butter cook that up real good and then add that Thyme and flour

Make sure you cook that flour before you add your tomatoes so it doesn’t taste like flour add your Tomatoes your chicken broth in this case I’m using just water along with a powdered chicken ion I like Watkins and then we’re going to add our salt and pepper to taste give

It a good stir cover it up and then let it simmer for a couple of minutes depending on how much time you have use your stick blender blend it all together and then you’re going to add that luscious heavy cream or half and half depending on what you have on hand for
