This video I’m proud to call you a partner all right let’s make you pecan pie come on alright guys so let’s get started on this first recipe this is gonna be the sugar free pecan pie buy all day I dream about food calm and if

You are new here you will know that I don’t give exact measurements for a lot of these recipes these are not my recipes we’re just here to test these recipes so you’ll need to go to the link at the screen here below on the screen or in the video description below will

Be links to all these recipes that have full ingredient lists and in amounts they’re the people that created these recipes deserve the traffic so I’m going to send you to their websites so let’s get started on the all day I dream about food pie this is a sugar-free pecan pie

And now each of these has their own crust right so we I’ve already taken the liberty of making the crusts ahead of time so as you can see here this has already been assembled and baked and this is her recipe for easy low-carb almond flour crust and just to talk you

Through this this was super simple what we did was in a bowl together the almond flour and the sweetener which was swerve powdered sweetener and salt and we added in melted butter and you sort of stir it together until it resembles coarse crumbs right so you turn that out into a

Glass pie plate and then you just spend a few minutes pressing this with your fingers into the bottom of the pan and up the sides and then if you really need to you can also use a flat bottom glass our tumbler or even a measuring cup to

Even out the bottom just to make sure it’s flat and then you need to prick it all over with a fork and that’s docking the dough so that it doesn’t bubble up so you dock the dough before you bake it and then you bake it unfilled in a 325

Degree oven for about 10 to 12 minutes before you add the fillings and then it also needs to to cool we also covered it as you can see with the pie shield a silicone pie shield so that the edges don’t get too Brown if you don’t have a

Pie shell use aluminum foil so that has been made and we are now ready to continue on with the good yummy gooey stuff that we’re gonna fill this with so here’s our pie shell and now let’s get started on the filling and this is pretty easy we’re gonna melt some butter

You want to do this over medium heat to like low medium low heat in a large saucepan we’re gonna combine butter and that’s a fair bit of butter as you can see and then two different sweeteners she called for swerve brown sugar and here’s where it now I wanted to talk

About you know some of the pricing above the sugar this sware of brown sugar in the store I was settled out of course in my store locally here I don’t have a lot of options and we don’t have a Costco and or an Aldi or Whole Foods or sprouts

Or thyme fresh thyme or any of that stuff so I just have to rely on regular grocery stores course they were sold out but if they’d had it as 850 and on thrive market I got a percent 99 so at least was available for me right so while this is

Melting we’re going to put in our sugars this is our swerve brown and then also this is something I’ve been wanting to try a lot of people have asked me about it and this was a recipe that called for it so excited to try it this is called Boca

Sweet I have never tried this it’s supposed to taste look I feel just like sugar I’m gonna put this in now I’m gonna tell you right now thrive market does not sell this brand and I wish they did because this was 1899 online for 16

Ounces of this so this is gonna be about a $700 pecan pie so I hope this is good but on so many of you hundreds of you have asked me to try it so this is my opportunity to I finally bought some and we’re gonna see what it does so this is

Boca sweet and this is butter and this is swerve brown and now we just melt this on the stove and let this let all the sugars dissolve the sweeteners dissolve and it took about two three minutes so I’ll meet you right back here Obviously the goal here of our low heat is to just make sure that those sweeteners which are granulated are melted so that you don’t get that gritty texture in your gooey pecan pie filling so we’re done with that it says to remove from heat but this is off now and

On an induction burner that’s all you have to do is just turn it off so now we’re gonna whisk in a little bit of salt because obviously you know in if you’re making sate of sweet recipes you don’t use salted butter so this was unsalted butter so we’re gonna that lets

Us control how much salt we want so we’re gonna whisk in gently salt and the vanilla extract so in that goes and we are just gonna let that cool off for just a second because what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna mix in these eggs this

Is three eggs and I’m just gonna beat them likely just so they’re already ready to go and we obviously do not want to make we don’t want to make a mess like I’m doing but we also don’t want to make scrambled eggs so we’re gonna let

This cool for just a minute before we whisk in these three eggs okay so I’ll let this cool for just a second I’ll meet you right back here okay this is at a reasonable temperature so we’re almost there we’re gonna take our pre baked pie shell and we’re going to add in some

Pecan halves all right this isn’t crushed or chopped pecans this is this is halves so and they’re so beautiful they look great we just add those to the pie gently we’re going to whisk in our eggs into our caramelized sugar quote-unquote mixture this is going to

Be the basis of what makes our beautiful we so get this combined we never brought this to a boil so you didn’t have to let it cool on but do give it a second to to relax just a minute so that you’re not scrambling eggs and sugar we are simply

Going to pour this over the pecans pecans and then this is gonna go in a 325-degree oven for quite a while this is gonna cook I believe she said how long where does it say 45 to 50 minutes or until it’s set in jiggly she said

Make sure you get all this out you doesn’t spent about seven hundred dollars on that Boca sweets you do not want to leave a grain of it in there so I gotta admit y’all that looks pretty beautiful I mean that is pretty pretty pretty so I’m gonna put on our little

Silicone pie mold because if you don’t this top by the end of it that top is gonna be black just burnt and you don’t want that and this little thing really helps so put your silicone my pie mold on and then in the oven this

Goes and I will meet you back here we’re gonna set up for our second recipe and we’ll we’ll taste it all right meet you right back here all right so our other pie is in the oven and cooking the one from all day I dream about food and now

We’re going to turn our attention to the other recipe and this is the best keto sugar-free pecan pie recipe by wholesome yum calm again the descriptor the recipe is going to be listed right here and in the video description below now before we begin I’ve got to melt this butter so

I’m gonna go ahead and turn this on so that the butter is melting a little bit while I just take care of a little bit of housekeeping if you’re looking for Thanksgiving recipes obviously you’re watching a pecan pie battle so you probably are be sure you check out i’ma

Put a playlist link up here is gonna be in the top description of all of my thanksgiving style recipes I’ve got a pumpkin pie battle recipe that I did last year that’s super popular I’ve got a macaroni and cheese battle a lot of different sides I’ve also got a true

Southern low-carb cornbread dressing chicken and dressing is we called it it’s probably my Holy Grail recipe it’s one of the most popular recipes on this channel I’m only kid up here as well it is to die for don’t be intimidated by the list of ingredients just watch the video it’s

Much easier than it looks but it is fantastic also if you enjoy what I’m doing here make sure that you hit this bribe button if you already think you’re a subscriber make sure you go down there and check and make sure because sometimes YouTube has been unsubscribing

People from channels make sure you hit the the bell button so that you get notified and if you like this please hit the thumbs up button down below like this video it lets YouTube know that this is a good video that they should recommend to other people so if you like

What you’re watching thanks hit the thumbs up for me alright so we’ve already obviously made the crust here this is the wholesome young almond flour crust and something about that almond flour I just need to show you just because we’re talking about thrive market at my store I like Bob’s Red Mill

It’s just the brand I’ve always used and I trusted the blanched almond flour at my store locally it was 1119 and of course of course they were out of the blanch they only had the whole which is much grittier and grainy err to me and

Darker so I would have had to order it online on Amazon it was 1329 and a thrive market the Bob’s Red Mill was $8.99 and I actually branched out and went against my better judgement and ordered their store brand of thrive brand and heck it was $7.99 so even

Better deal so and I’ve been pleased with it so far so we all we did was a make the almond flour crust added some powdered erythritol sweetener sea salt and a melted ghee instead of butter it called for ghee and that this crust called for an egg and then also some

Vanilla extract and just like the other crust we patted it down into a pan covered it with a pie shield and baked it in the oven for about 10 to 12 minutes so now we’re ready for that so now let’s turn our attention to the

Feeling and we are going to add in our powdered lo canto monk fruit sweetener it was the powdered monk fruit and I have been impressed with the lo canto stuff if you know in the cookie battle video we were used quite a bit of it now

I also want to note that the first recipe called for a saucepan wholesome yum specifically said not a saucepan exclamation point exclamation point use a saute pan I guess she wants that Y door opening because we’re gonna bow up simmer this down for about 20 minutes

Here in just a minute so she probably wants to surf this area now speaking about that lo canto powdered my stores do carry the low canto gold and the canto granulated they did not have the low canto powdered so if I look forward on Amazon there’s 1249 for the powdered

Lo canto and then thrive market and had it for 11:49 so as you can see there’s some there’s some savings there so what we’re gonna do is just let this cook for about 5 minutes keep it moving it’s some pretty much low medium low heat and you

Kind of want to get to get this golden Okay so this has been about six or seven minutes and we’re almost at golden brown here and to this to our sweetener and our butter we’re gonna add some salt in and we’re also gonna add heavy cream to this and we’re gonna mix this in and

This is where this differs a lot from a traditional pecan pie recipe most pecan pie recipes do not have cream in them this is a little bit different so I’m curious of how this goes this recipe also calls for an additional cup of one cut more of pecans pecans then the other

Recipe and a cup more almond flour for the crust than the other recipe so this is gonna be a substantially I don’t know nuttier pie than our other recipe but that doesn’t mean it’s gonna be better we don’t find out so this has to simmer we’re gonna add an egg and some vanilla

Here and a maple extract here in a minute but this has to simmer on low for 15 to 20 minutes and I’ll meet you right back here alright and we’ll look at our other pie and assemble this one and then unfortunately they’ve all got a cool you

Cannot cut a pecan pie traditional or low carb the fresh out of the oven you’ve got a these are gonna go in the fridge they both require refrigeration so we’re gonna have to just wait and simmer down so alright make sure back in a bit alright boys and

Girls we are back and it’s been about 20 minutes that our caramel sauce our filling here has been simmering I’ve already Quist in the maple and vanilla extracts and now this has to cool for 15 to 20 more minutes before we whisk in our egg and assemble the pie but our

Other pie has been in the oven and I just wanted to show her to you she’s so pretty you can see how a little bit jiggly like they said it kind of had a blowout right there alright my friends we are back and our caramel sauce here

Has cooled for about 15 maybe 20 minutes now we are going to add in you they ask you to separate your Begins and chop some of those and then again like I mentioned this has almost one cup a full cut more pecans in that other pie

Recipe so we’re gonna see how that does the other one turned out beautifully and now we’re gonna reserve that for the top and here’s where things get a little tricky you just want to get this off that heat and add your egg slowly whisk it in and hope that you don’t get

Scrambled eggs that’s the reason for letting it cool webs well so whisk this good and now from here it’s just as you would expect get out the way this gets poured right on top of your chopped pecans oh my word that looks good now you know this has

This had a lot what I would call a lot of heavy cream and most pecan pie recipes tradition recipes they don’t have cream or milk in them you know not a lot of them some of them do but most of them are sugar and nuts and butter so

I am super interested in how this turns out as compared to the other recipe which felt a little more traditional in my eyes but so far this looks pretty darn good so now these are your Beauty pecans right these are your I went through and

You need a half cup of them on the top and I’m just gonna add these to the top and some sort of fashion to make them look pretty so that when it bakes up it looks like a beauty pie this is gonna go in the oven for just like the other one

45 to 50 minutes and then they need to cool on the back burner for at least an hour and then chilled for an hour or two before we cut them so if I get a wild haired and I don’t know what time it is if I get a wild hair tonight and they’ve

Chilled enough for me to to cut them and and taste them and then I will otherwise I will see you guys bright and early in the morning and we’ll go from there so I’m gonna finish this out and I’ll meet you behind here either later tonight our

First thing in the morning all right Okay guys so it’s the next morning and these have chilled like I said in the fridge all night I took them out of the fridge about an hour ago just to sort of knock the chill off of them but look at how beautiful they are

Now before we cut into these I want to go over of course the nutritional information for these this is the first pie we baked it’s the one with the least organized of the pecans on top and this is the sugar-free pecan pie buy all day I dream about food dot-com and the

Nutritional status facts for this she says to cut this into 10 pieces so 110 slices per pie one slice is 390 calories 37 grams of fat 6 carbs total carbs fiber you’ve got 3 grams so that’s 3 net carbs per slice and 7 grams of protein

Now the second recipe is here this is the best keto sugar-free pecan pie recipe by wholesome yum calm and the information for this is that it is 12 slices for per pie so 1/12 of this pie now if you remember correctly this had an additional cup of

Almond flour in it over this one this also had an additional cup more pecans than this one did so it’s a heftier pie there’s more in that 1/12 of a slice but for 1/12 of the pie in one slice its 533 calories 54 grams of fat 8 grams of

Total carbs you got 4 grams of fiber making it four net carbs per slice and protein is 9 grams so these are some pretty hefty um pies in the way of calories at least so now we just got to taste them let’s see what’s going on

Let’s try the first one now one of them one of the recipes did specifically say when you cut this do not use a sawing motion use a chef’s knife and just try to slice it down as quickly as you can just to avoid as much of the crust

Crumble as you can so so what you would normally do is obviously cut it in half first to get your evenly divided slices or as even as you can and even with our little pie shield we got some brown extra browned crust so you definitely want to

Use one of those or some foil or something because if you didn’t it even being worse so I’m gonna roughly just guess what I think a tenth of this might be a reasonable amount oh yeah the first slice is always the hardest to get out

So I’m gonna try my best to make a pretty slice the first one’s usually the sacrificial sacrificial slice come along little dogie break loose it there please I should have a pie a pie knife but I don’t actually do not have a serving in my four pies Oh mess that crust up

Really badly boo but so you just slide that in there nobody would be the wiser now the next one will be much easier to get out because I can get a little spatula in there of course the crust falls right off the top so it’s not

Pretty but it’s gonna look good I mean it’s gonna taste good I bet let’s go ahead and just try to cut this other one too while I’ve got the the knife out hold on this one is so beautiful I honestly don’t even want to cut it

Because it’s going to tear it up so we got to get 12 slices out of this one whoo it’s a thick thick crust it is seriously thick okay now to try to get 1/12 of this it’s hard to do so I’m gonna try to use this this is a pretty

Pretty piece of pie it will not come loose I’m gonna bust this one up too yo Wow look at that don’t look at my head look at that pretty pie focus on that that’s a pretty nice pretty nice pie really fit crust on that and then you can’t really tell much because I

Tore that one all up but we shouldn’t be able to taste it so let’s just see what we got here this is the all day I dream about food I’m gonna try to get a little extra piece of that crust there and here we go mm-hmm that’s delicious

That is delicious this is the one with the boat this week right isn’t it the one yeah this is the one that had the boat asleep sweetener in it that I’ve never tried this does not have the telltale taste of erythritol it really does not y’all okay it’s gonna be hard

To beat that I’m gonna tell you now that was that good so let’s try look at that can y’all see that that held up so well I wish you could see how how thick that looks there look at that this is the one that was made with heavy cream it’s a

Cup and a half of heavy cream which was unusual for me I gotta tell you this is really thick and almost difficult to almost difficult to cut and slice into very good I almost think the crust is too a little bit too thick I will say that the chopped pecans gotta put it

Down to be able to cut it this is a little more brittle and crumbly you see how that busted apartment hold on okay I gotta say that I came into this just looking at this and looking at how they were made I came into this expecting this wholesome young pie to be the

Winner but by a small margin I got to go with the all-day I dream about food pie the sugar-free pecan pie it has more of the goo this is a harder and it you know they both have been out of the fridge they’re not cool anymore they’re room

Temperature in that baked into something that I almost feel is the consistency of peanut butter fudge you ever had peanut butter fudge that’s sort of crumbly that’s the texture of that this tastes gooey I mean you can you can see that that is it is gooey like a

Pecan pie should be to me now of course torn this all up here just trying to look at it but you see it’s not crumbling it’s staying together it’s gooey and this does have that Boca sweet sweetener in it and I’m not you know professing to know anything about that I

Haven’t tested my blood sugar with it but people have been raving about it and doggone it was expensive but I mean that is as good as a regular pecan pie absolutely as love it there you have it folks low carb pecan pie it definitely can be done you will not go wrong with

Either one of these recipes if it were me and I were making it again I would definitely make the first recipe it also took about half the time because it was much less boiling down of that cream so all right guys I say it every time

These videos are way for me to maintain my low carb way of eating and looking into the end of that camera as often as I can help to keep me honest so I appreciate that you have come along for the journey I want to give a huge thank

You again to thrive market for sponsoring this video I’m really proud to call you a partner so be sure that you guys go to thrive market calm / – low-carb and you get one month free trial of the membership and you get 25% off your first order and that’s even on

  1. Hey thanks so much for making my pie (and raving about it!). I really appreciate that and it was fun to watch. And I too say Pee-can. Nice job…I am going to share this on Facebook.

It's hard not to get the crust to darken like that (darn almond flour). You could even perhaps have taken it out a bit earlier. 🙂

  2. I made All Day I Dream About Food's pecan pie….SO good. I did add a caramel cream flavoring from OOO flavors instead of maple and it was amazing!

  3. About the pie shell crusts; I have a better idea and it is such a natural. Place 1 1/2 cups of pecan halves (toast them breifly if you must) into the food processor to make coarse sand-like particles. Blend the ground pecans with 2/3 cup of butter and a dash of salt. Place the mix into your pie man and press it to get an even form fit pie crust. Place this in freezer whie mixing the filing. Similar to Keto cheesecake crust. After all, it is a pee-can pie. lol

  4. Well I sprit of keeping it southern with my comment, I’ll respond how my Dad’s side from KY would, instead of My Mom’s side from IL.

    “Appreciate Ch-ya”

  5. We say Pecan pie the same way in the UK. Thank you so much for your recipe testing. I just love your reviews and you of course. You make them look so delicious 😋

  6. I use Botcha sweet all the time, both granulated and powder. I cannot tell the difference between this and real sugar, no bad after taste. Love it. I buy mine on Amazon.

  7. I have dogs and refuse to use any xylitol for anything (yes, you must read labels!).
I’ll try to use a mix of allulose and monk fruit or my powdered organic stevia from my garden.

  8. I can't find a link for comments on my computer for your recipe battles. I was wondering if you could do a fried frog leg battle?

  9. The bochasweet has xylitol which is bad for your pets. I am so scared to use it. I bought some no knowing what it had in it.
