Today's catch is 'ōpelu, or mackerel scad. I prepared it two ways. The majority of the fish were sliced open, salted and sprinkled with chili flakes, put into the dry box, and will remain for the next five to seven days. The rest of the 'ōpelu went into making a delicious poke 🤤.
