I got a good catch of large enough shrimps to make this crispy fried prawn recipe! Thus recipe is easy, and I’ve also demonstrated how to clean up the prawns, so now even if you’re new to cooking you can turn into a pro, by just setting your mind and hands to it 🙂 The marinade is made with accessible ingredients. For the crisp coat, feel free to use the herbs and spices available to you. You can also just sprinkle in some Bouillon cubes (stock cube) if you want to minimise the number of ingredients. Just don’t skip the Baking Powder. That’s important for the prolonged crispness.

Try it and let me know! Mog Asum ❤️Let There Be Love

Ingredients:
12 large Prawns, washed well and cleaned
1/2 teaspoon Salt, or as needed
1 teaspoon Black Pepper powder
1 teaspoon Ginger-Garlic paste
2 teaspoons White Vinegar
Marinate and set aside for 20 minutes.

For the crisp coat:
1 Cup All Purpose Flour (Maida)
Salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder (important ingredients)
1 & 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 & 1/2 teaspoon Onion powder
1 teaspoon Chili flakes
A dash of dried Oregano
Black pepper powder, as desired
If you don’t have garlic powder or onion powder, or oregano it is okay to skip it. Add any seasoning of your choice. You can add a stock cube for flavour, if you like.
(Mix the above; set an aside 4 to 5 teaspoons of the mixture to make a smooth batter with water).

Oil for deep frying.
