Stuffed Cabbage Rolls
Ingredients:
Large cabbage

Meat mixture ingredients:
1 1/2 pds meatloaf mix
1/2 tsp pepper
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
1/2 cup fresh parsley
1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice
1 tsbp olive oil
1 medium minced onion
3 cloves of minced garlic

Sauce Ingredients:
2 cans of condensed Campbell’s tomato soup
1 1/2 cup vegetable broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 to 2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 cup tomato sauce
( salt and pepper to taste)

Recipe:
In a large stock pot fill it with enough water to cover the cabbage. Add a quarter teaspoon of salt in the water. Take your cabbage remove the core and add it to your stock pot while the water is still cold, and bring it to a boil. Cook the cabbage until tender. Once cabbage is done remove it and place it in a colander to drain the water. The ends of the Cabbage you would need to cut a v-shape where the core was because it’s going to be hard to roll it if you don’t do that. And set the Cabbage aside and work on your meat mixture and sauce.

For the meat mixture, add a tablespoon of olive oil in your Skillet and saute your onion and garlic, add a little sprinkle of salt and pepper. Then set it aside so it can cool. Take your one and a half pounds of meatloaf mixture add your salt pepper Worcestershire sauce and your egg and a half a cup of fresh parsley and your half a cup of long grained white rice blend it all together and add your onion and garlic, blend it all together again and set it aside until you’re ready to stuff your cabbage.

Now start your sauce and set it aside. And start stuffing your cabbages with the meat mixture. In a large roasting pan add some of your sauce on the bottom and start adding all of your stuff cabbage. Take the remaining sauce for all over the cabbage. Then take all the remaining pieces of cabbage that you have added on top of the stuffed cabbage. Cover with foil cook in a 350° oven for about 1 hour and a half. And your meal is done enjoy!

Hi guys welcome back to what’s on my plate so for tonight I’m making stuffed cabbage it’s going to be delicious you’re going to love it so let’s get started okay so for our stuffed cabbage you need a large cabbage and you need to cut out the center here the center core

So um I just used a pairing knife and I removed the core I have a pot of water on the stove I added 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the water I’m going to add this in before it starts to boil and then once it boils we’re going to simmer it for about

15 minutes and then once the leaves start coming off in the water just take the leaves that are falling off place them in a colander to drain and then just put the Cabbage back in and let it um remove the rest of the leaves while it’s boiling

Okay so then we’ll get to the next step so here’s my large stock pot filled with water salted water and I’m going to add this in and then while it’s boil when it starts to boil just keep flipping it um with a few times during that 15minute

Cook time so as soon as all the water absorbs inside it’ll stop floating around so we’re going to get this to a boil and then we’re going to put it on a simmer for approximately for 15 minutes like I said in a skillet with a tablespoon of olive oil I have added one

Medium minced onion and I’m going to sauté it till the onion is translucent or a little bit soften just a few minutes and then when that is done I’m going to add my three tablespoons of minced garlic pinch of salt and a pinch of pepper

So this mixture is going to go into the ground beef once it cools um I just like to sauté my onions and garlic because it’ll bring so much flavor to the meat instead of putting everything in wall okay so now a few minutes has passed I’m going to go ahead

And add my garlic in I’m going to let this sauté in here for about 30 seconds and then I’m shutting it and setting it aside so I’m still cooking my cabbage just want to show you that you can start peeling the pieces off while it’s boiling just be a little gentle so it

Doesn’t rip and then take this and let it sit in the colander to drain and then just keep boiling it until all the pieces come out come off see it just just pull it a little a little bit and then I’m just going to do that for the rest of

It and then I’ll set it aside and now we’re going to work on our meat mixture okay so for the filling of my stuffed cabbage I have 1 and 1/2 lbs of Meatloaf mix I really enjoy using meatloaf mix when I make pretty much anything I’ve

Used the lean ground beef and I just did not like it in this recipe at all so we just need a pound and a half of the meatloaf mix and the meatloaf mix of course is Beef Pork and ve so to this we’re going to start adding um our egg

That’s the next step okay so I have added my egg I’m adding a half a teaspoon of pepper and 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of salt and then I’m going to add a table I’m going to add a tablespoon of Worcester Shire in here and I’m going to going to add

My um garlic and my onion that I sauteed in the skillet I’m going to add it cuz it’s cooled off now olive oil because we want this to be really moist so I’ll add that and then we’ll blend everything together so just going to blend it all

Together I forgot to add my parsley I have parsley I’m going to add it after okay so just get that all Blended and then we’re going to add the parsley in here and my parsley it’s about a half a cup I have it in the freezer I always

Have fresh fresh herbs in the freezer so just as fresh as it was I when I cut it and it smells great so um yeah just going to add my parsley in here mix this all up nice my cabbage is already cooked and basically we just need to get um the

Rice in here so I’m going to put I’m going to put about 3/4 cup of rice in here um I’m actually going to put a half a cup of rice in here because we don’t want it to be all rice we want you know to be the meat mixture so I’m going to

Add a half a cup of rice in here and that would be the next step okay so here’s my rice just a half a cup and then I’m just going to mix this up in here and this is the meat mixture that’s going to go into my

Cabbage okay so we’re just going to set this aside and get get the Cabbage ready to stuff okay so here’s my cabbage I’m just going to scoop out a little bit of my meat mixture just going to roll it up I’m going to place it in here and

Then I’m going to just start wrapping them and some of the pieces are broken but that’s okay you just it just um just take extra pieces from another one and just close up the little Gap so here’s one of them so I’m just going to do all of them

And then after I am finished I will um start getting my sauce in my dish and then add these to the dish and we’ll get it in the oven so in my Skillet where I had my onions garlic and olive oil I added two cans of condensed Campbell

Soup and two to this I’m actually warming it up I’m going to add vegetable broth okay then I’m going to mix it up so that was one cup of vegetable broth but I’m going to actually add 1 and 1/2 cups of vegetable broth to this I’m going to add one tablespoon of worshire

Sauce you don’t have to use the worshire if you don’t want I enjoy it I love having it in my uh my sauces and stuff so I’m going to blend this together it’s heating up on the stove and then to this I’m also going to add one cup of tomato sauce

Okay and I’m just going to let this um heat up so it’s all Blended together and the condensed soup has so much flavor um so I don’t think we need to add any salt or anything to this but we will see just 2 3 minutes

And we will get to the next step okay um I forgot to add my tablespoon of brown sugar um so I’m just going to mix this in here and um it’s heated enough so I’m just going to shut this off and set it aside and okay so I have a large baking

Dish there’s 21 cabbage rolls in here on the bottom of the pan I took some of my sauce and just put a little drizzle all over the bottom and I placed all of the um stuffed cabbage on top so now I’m going to take the rest of my sauce and

I’m just going to pour it right over let me mix it up a little I’m going to pour the rest of it right over okay and now after this sauce all goes on top we’re going to cover this with the remaining leaves of cabbage that I have uh and this is going

To go in a 350° oven for approximately an hour and a half and then it is done it’s going to be delicious um but this is my stuffed cabbage thank you so much for watching what’s on my plate I’m going to get this covered up and right in the oven and

When it’s done I will take a picture and I will show you okay I just wanted to show you that I have layered the remaining cabbage on top and I’m going to go ahead and cover it with a piece a piece of foil and then get it in the

Oven okay came out of the oven smells delicious and looks so good so I’m going to get this plated and I will show you okay so here are my stuffed cat cabbage rolls so excited to eat these so I’m going to just cut some here and show you the

Inside look perfectly cooked rice perfectly cooked ground beef look how great that looks so it’s kind of hot right now but I’m going to try try some so good so good so this is my stuffed cabbage rolls thank you so much for watching what’s on my plate enjoy and don’t

Forget I always have the recipe listed in the Des description for everything that I make
