Today I’m going to show you how to make a quick and easy satay sauce. [Soft music playing] Welcome back to our kitchen where we show you how to make delicious family friendly recipes. This creamy spicy peanut butter satay sauce is the perfect

Dip for chicken or beef skewers. I’ve got three heat tablespoons of smooth peanut butter here and I’m gonna start by placing that into a small saucepan. Now add a tablespoon of dark soy sauce, a tablespoon of fish sauce, 200 mil or

Seven ounces of full fat count coconut milk, half a teaspoon of chilli flakes, a tablespoon of light brown sugar and half a teaspoon of ground coriander, heat the sauce over a medium heat while stirring with a wooden spoon.

The sauce will look quite thin at first but then as it comes close to boiling point it will start to thicken. We don’t actually, want to let it come to the boil but as its approaching boiling point just turn down the heat and keep

Stirring until it thickens then we’ll turn off the heat and add the juice of a lime. Serve with a sprinkling of chopped toasted peanuts and an extra sprinkle of chilli flakes if you like it spicy. And there you go that’s my easy homemade

Satay sauce, serve it warm or cold with beef or chicken skewers a lot easier than you might think and super tasty. [upbeat music playing]

  1. Probably impossible but is there a way to get the taste but keeping it nut-free for people with allergies?

  2. I would suggest you use Ketjap Manis in lieu of brown sugar and dark soy sauce – at least that's what my Dutch Indonesian brother-in-law used, plus some Sambal Oelek over the rice to eat with his satay skewers

  3. i just tried this recipe it was great! I baked some mushrooms and courgette and dip it with the sauce. Be careful when u open the coconut milk, I had forgotten to shake it before I opened it.

  4. I love this channel, go to it every shopping online day for something different for tea. Thanks 😊

  5. Nice ratio of ingredients. However, always and I mean always ensure you start by frying off the spices.

  6. Been looking for an easy recipe for ages, I spend a lot of time in Thailand/SE Asia(retiring there this year!) and I know a good satay sauce and this is a really tasty one! Thanks !

  7. As a german living close to the dutch border I have to "disagree" with your recipe. This is not how you make real Satay Sauce.

I have a better, authentic and also quick dutch/indonesian Satay sauce recipe with Ketjap Manis,Sambal Oelek, Palm Sugar etc..

While this for sure not a bad "satay style" sauce, real satay sauce just tastes different and the ones who created it (indonesians) for sure know better what they are doing.
