Sunday March 31st is Easter so we brought in Carol Mackie to help us make our Easter table extra special for family and friends good morning good morning all right this is a great time for people to start getting into also spring entertaining looking at different things but it comes down to Easter
Sunday making sure not just the bonnet’s on but the table looks good that’s right so I’m going to show you a few uh DIYs that won’t break the bank and some creative easy recipes yeah and I want to start down here with the flowers can we start there that looks awesome with the
Carrots in there so you know just flowers from the grocery store but I put carrots with the greens on them in there to add a little um Touch of Whimsy to your flower arrangement very simple and you can get all at the grocery store there you go I like that okay and then
Um I have my um place mats here which can you guess what those are those look like they are Turf they are Turf samples so I I encourage people to just look around house and you’ll never you don’t know what you might find that you know might make something extra special on
Your table so I had a whole box of samples so those are my placements I like that and you can actually probably go to the turf store right now and ask them for some samples and cut them give them to you get rid of them totally I
Like that and then um our napkin rings they’re bunny ears and napkin rings can be rather costly especially if you have to buy you know a lot of them yeah so what I did here we may have some um pictures that I took at home I took um
The cardboard center of a um paper towel roll and then there you go then I cut that up into sections and then from there I took some burlap ribbon and I glued that onto those and I cut out the little shape of an ear for the bunny and
Then I glued them and then I held it together with the cloth pins until they were dry and then I just glued it onto the ring I like that know that’ be a great little crap for the kids in there when to do a home together yes my kids
Used to they if they watch this they’re going to laugh they used to craft all the time and they’re like Mom do you have they’re 27 do you have to keep saying that but I still do uh okay and then our candles they’re just um Dollar
Store candles I think they were 98 cents actually and I glued a little ribbon and then a faux flower on that I like that that’s cute yeah beautiful our name plates that’s really too yes I love um Place cards and I remember um my nephews
Came one time it was Christmas and I had Place cards on the table they were probably like seven eight and 10 and they got the biggest kick out of it and yeah it makes you feel important it does it makes oh my goodness and then if you
Have that extra person comes by you run in the back and you write their name on something put it through there that’s right and you can put people together or not together and also where did you find these at those you know I just got them
Um at uh the target bin you can get them with the dollars or Amazon super cheap you know and just adds you know a little bit of Whimsy to the table like it all right and now our food okay so the first one is the appetizer and that is a
Smoked salmon on a cracker so smoked salmon dip so what I did was just in the food processor threw in the smoked salmon cream cheese whoops sorry well now you’ll have to eat it and um lemon juice Capers um that’s okay some red onion and saler here you
Know what let me pick it up and we can see how cute that is ah there you go there put it right there that camera there we go be coming to Carol Ma’s house now uh and then I put it in a um pastry bag and
Uh just a little round tip and I just squeezed it and Dill on the top I like it all right salad okay the salad SL vegetable so I love this for two reasons one is you don’t have to worry about the vegetable stained hot because we made
The asparagus into a salad and then two it’s so colorful for and then well actually three it’s delicious yeah so asparagus red cabbage roasted red pepper pine nuts and then smoked mozzarella if you can’t find smoked mozzarella you can use regular but it really adds a whole dimension new dimension of flavor and
Balsamic vinegarette there it is all right dessert okay dessert um these are the cat uh carrot patch cupcakes so truth be told I actually just bought those cupcakes and then I took Oreo Wafers and I put them in a plastic bag and then took a Mallet and um you know
Pulverized them put it on the frosting and then just a little candy carrot on top but what I think makes this so um cute is the little terracotta pots that are inexpensive and um just kind of make the whole dessert it does and then you get
