Mediterranean seafood cooking class at St. Lawrence Market in Toronto with celebrity chef Peter Minaki a.k.a. Kalofagas. Delicious octopus, sea bass, fried calamari and taramasalata (Greek caviar dip).

No wonder these octopus taste so good  Snap, crackle and pop It’s all about seafood!  Oh my god! That’s so good!  Welcome to GreekAndThe6ix We are here at St. Lawrence Market  for a Mediterranean cooking class You dip it three times  We’re talking succulent octopus Show people how to tame an octopus

When I say tame it, we are going to get it tender and then we are going to broil it it’s going to kind of emulate the grilling of the octopus  Here we go  Wow It’s good to see what Peter does because you pick up tips and you follow those  it’s a standard procedure

And it always will turn out right if you follow these  I definitely wanted to try Greek cuisine and figure out how it’s made  That’s perfectly roasted fish Mouth watering, roasted whole sea bass  We are going to bake lavraki a.k.a. branzino in a salt crust

It’s a really nice sea bass in a new technique that I have never seen Wow and look It’s your first cooking class It is, it was her idea  Really? Why did you want to try it? Well, we went to Greece last summer and I love all the seafood there so my thought was

Let’s try to recreate some of this at home Delicious fried calamari It’s just amazing Crispy on the outside, still tender a little bit of lemon on top, that’s all it needs I can’t believe it is so tender and I like that it’s not over battered and the tastiest taramasalata

Show people how to whip up a dreamy, creamy, mousse like taramasalata which is the Greek caviar dip What did you think of the dip? Delicious If you would like some more information about the recipes or if you would like to sign up for one of the classes just go to kalofagas.ca  Thanks for watching
