Homemade big mac sliders. The sauce is spot on. They were a big hit. 😋

Brought these for board game night and everyone loved them! If y’all are interested, here’s the recipe:
For the sauce, mix the following together:
1/2 cup mayo, 2 Tbsp sweet pickle relish, 1 Tbsp box-grated yellow onion (with the liquid), 2 tsp yellow mustard, 1/2 tsp white vinegar, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/4 tsp fine sea salt, 1/4 tsp garlic powder
For the sliders:
Add 1 lb ground beef and 1/2 diced white onion to pan. Break up meat and cook these together with some salt and pep until onion has softened and meat is cooked through. Cut a pack of slider buns in half and put the bottoms in a 9×13 pan. Then layer with mac sauce, meat/onion mixture, american cheese slices, pickles, top bun. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds. Cover in foil and bake at 350 for 25 min.
These ain’t healthy but damn are they good eatin’! Cheers!

Funny you should ask as many people are upset that Serious Eats included a burger in the sandwich edition of Starch Madness and it made it to the final round 😂. I don’t think there’s a good argument to deny that burgers are sandwiches, but in any case your sliders look delicious, so I’m glad to see them here.

Man, a tray of sliders made with king’s Hawaiian rolls is alright. Try a ham and swiss one with a dijon mustard glaze on top. So damn good.
