For the king trumpets I’d slice them lengthwise. You get a better texture and are more appealing on the plate.
Otherwise the flavors should be nice together and the rest of the plating looks pretty good.

As Mr/Ms Tritone said, a different cut for the mushrooms could be good but I do like how they resemble menma. I particularly like the color contrast between the jus & the squash puree. Good job!
