RECIPE:
3 cups sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 cup butter, softened
6 large eggs room temp
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 cups flour
8 oz sour cream
2 Tpsp. lemon juice
Place all 9 ingredients in mixing bowl, beat a low speed for one minute, stopping to scrape sides of bowl, beat medium speed for 2 minutes, pour into 10-inch tube pan, bake at 325 for one hour and 30 minutes or until done.

Hello family and friends this is Beverly black I was getting ready to make this lemon sour cream pound cake and I decided I would go ahead and make a little video of it this recipe was given to me by a dear friend Brenda Smith her granddaughter and her and Brenda made

This pound cake together and it looks so good I asked for the recipe and she shared it with me and this is a lemon sour cream pound cake and the ingredients are three cups of sugar 1 4 teaspoon of salt one cup of salt and butter six large eggs at room

Temperature a half teaspoon of vanilla extract three cups of flour that’s all-purpose flour 1 4 teaspoon of baking soda 1 8 ounce container of sour cream and two tablespoons of lemon juice and this is a different recipe what you do is you place all those nine ingredients together

And mix it you beat it at low speed for one minute and you stop and scrape the sides of the bowl and you beat at medium speed for two minutes and then you spoon the batter into a grease and flour 10 inch tube pan so let’s get ready and start

Combining all nine ingredients and mix them all together okay let’s get started I have the flour three cups of flour the fourth teaspoon of salt and a four teaspoon of baking soda all in here together I’m pouring it in now okay I have all six eggs at room temperature I’m gonna pour all

Those in eight ounces of sour cream at room temperature foreign three cups of sugar one cup of butter and I use unsalted at room temperature and that one cup will be two sticks and I am using Kerry gold then you put in the last ingredient is a half a teaspoon of vanilla

It says vanilla but I am using pound cake flavoring and a half a teaspoon of that now we’re going to mix this together for one minute I am sorry I omitted the two tablespoons of lemon juice to go in it I added it to it when I thought about I had omitted it

And now the batter is ready to go in the pan I mixed it together for one minute then um did the sides sides then mixed it on medium for two minutes now we’re going to pour it it said to spoon it in but this batter is uh thin

Enough that you can just pour it in the oven is preheated at 325 degrees and we cook it for an hour and 30 minutes or until done all the batter is out the cake is red and I clean off the sides here there it is

Ready to go in the oven I’m gonna hit it a couple of times well let me do it this way I’ll put the towel down and hit it the air bubbles out so I’m going to put it in the oven and I’ll be back when it is done

The lemon sour cream pound cake is done I made a lemon glaze to go on top of it I used about two cups of powdered sugar a teaspoon of vanilla and two cups of um lemon juice and I made that little glaze and put on top so the cake is
