Okay we turn now to the latest baked goods mashup going viral on social media it’s the crookie a croissant and a chocolate chip cookie combo that was first seen in Paris bakeries now homemade versions are all over the Internet so our own Rihanna and Ally

Tried it out so nice to see ran thank you it’s a tough assignment someone has to do it you know I I jumped right in uh remember the Cronut it was that croissant donut people wait I know people waited in those huge lines for that Viral treat that was almost 11

Years ago so luckily you don’t have to wait in those lines for the crookie because it’s easy to make it home so I tried it with some special very cute helpers so today I went to try the viral crookie meet the crookie it’s so so good

You have to try it it started at a bakery in France and it’s caught on like wildfire going viral on Tik Tok if you haven’t hopped on the viral crookie Trend now is the time it’s total comfort food so what is a crookie well it’s a croissant stuffed with chocolate chip

Cookie dough and then baked to Perfection but let’s see if it’s really as easy as these viral videos claim I got my helpers my kids Roman Mila and Natalia I have a question for you three which do you like better croissants or chocolate chip cookies well I really

Like ch um chocolate chip cookies chocolate chip cookies definitely a c okay what if we put the two of them together oh my God that’s a good idea okay let’s do it first my helpers are going to scoop cookie dough I cut the croissants in half we put two to three scoops inside

Each croissant and then close it up flattening it out and then two smaller scoops on top we got a cookie sheet put all them on can put them on there y look how easy that was are you ready to try them yes you can’t we got to bake them

First bake for 15 to 20 minutes in a 350° oven it smells so good in here it’s time to get them out of the oven and voila are you ready to try them yes okay let’s put on some powdered sugar yes oh my God it’s so good that is

Perfect you guys are the best Su chefs ever they really did such a great job now the inside here you’re going to scoop one on there it’s supposed to be gooey after it breaks because it’s warm but if the raw cookie dough makes you feel a little uneasy you can bake them

For 5 to 10 more minutes just keep your eyes on them so try it let me know what you think I had a bunch last night so it’s still warm delicious nice and warm well hey there GMA fans Robin Roberts here thanks for checking out our YouTube channel lots of great stuff here

  1. Two things are apparent —

    1. The boy who said he likes croissants better than chocolate chip cookies is either a liar or was prompted by GMA to be the lone kid who said “croissant.”

    2. Any adult who allows their kid to put powdered sugar over a carb-laden cookie dessert like a crookie, needs to have a visit from CPS.

  2. This is great because only 74% of Americans are overweight. This is exactly what we need two or three cookies baked on top of a croissant.

  3. Looks disgusting. I'm working on weight loss not gain. French people don't even eat our large portions.

  4. hello , croissant au chocolate. filo layer butter is now with two nestles. england to france to belgium.

  5. People have an obsession with crossaint hybrids. Crossaint + donut, Croissants flattened and dipped in a sugary glaze, crossaint+cookie, crossaints+waffle …😅

  6. Interesting how a country that bashes American food invented something that would be considered an American invention. No thanks. I will pass.
