“Tortella tal-Lewż” is a traditional Maltese Easter Pie. It is made of sweet pastry and filled with pure ground almond.
Another traditional Maltese sweets prepared for Easter is called “Figolla”.

310g Butter
250g Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tbsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1000g Pure Ground Almond
750g Icing Sugar
350g Egg Whites
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Lemon Zest
Orange Zest
