Tinned Corned Beef Lasagna is a hearty, comforting dish that combines canned corned beef’s convenience and distinctive taste with the layered, cheesy delight of traditional lasagna. This innovative twist on the classic lasagna recipe is perfect for those seeking to infuse familiar flavors in new, inventive ways. The corned beef, with its tender texture and rich, savoury taste, offers a unique alternative to the usual ground meats used in lasagna, such as beef or pork. When layered between sheets of pasta, smothered in a flavorful marinara sauce, and melded together with creamy bechamel sauce, mozzarella, and Cheddar cheeses, the corned beef transforms into a mouthwatering component that complements the dish’s overall richness and depth of flavour.

  1. I learned something new to add "Bechamel sauce "👍 to my lasagna . I did use cottage cheese before 🤦‍♀P.S. I'm not a fan of canned meat . I do like the old fashioned corn beef with ( what else , as you can guess ☺ ) Potatoes and cabbage ! 😋

  2. 🇨🇦 I will try this recipe, is first time I have seen corned beef used in lasagna!. I would use Alfredo sauce though, I absolutely do not like nutmeg, or similar spices to it. Makes a good cheap meal this.

  3. You are so casual. You can do this or not and add this or that whatever you like. But you give us a framework of the dish. And you are prolific. How you can do a show and recipe every day. I look forward to seeing what you’re cooking every day when I come home from work. Thank you!
    LOOK AT THAT!

  4. I LOVE tinned corn beef, it's one of my standbys. This is a perfect lasagna receipe, thank you.

  5. Wonderful episode Rik! You're a joy to watch, and I watch often. I do have to ask, did you get a new oven? I thought you really liked your last air fryer oven? I was thinking about buying one, so just had to ask about it. Thanks for your opinion!

  6. Wow chef got to admit that did look a proper lasagna served as it should be nice and firm portion without being to sloppy, might be a bit difficult convincing my Naples born missus though, there is so many variations of making lasagne around Italy my napoli born wife makes her lasagne with beef mince for flavour and pork mince for the fat content then between the layers of pasta sheets and sauce she puts sliced egg, sliced salami and tiny meat balls, its a very rich dish which is mainly eaten on New years day or Easter sunday, but I will give your method a go, another great recipe Rik, cheers chef.

  7. LOOK AT THAT, looks delicious, and also it was only a week ago since i congratulated you on 100k subs, now 111k subs, this channel is awesome, hope you have many more mouth watering recipes to keep us all drooling, congratulations from Australia.

  8. Some people don't like corned beef?

I've often taken corned beef sandwiches to work, tasty stuff.

  9. Corned beef in a sarnie with English mustard. Corned beef in hash. Corned beef in a lasagna look.
When in the RN the chefs/cooks used to make – Train Smash – corned beef, tomatoes, potatoes and other vegetables.
This was usually served at action stations or defence watches. But also quite understandably in rough weather when it was, difficult to stand up let alone cook with hot oil/ water. The swearing was intense 😂
Sadly corned beef in UK can be expensive.
How about going all Monty Python – spam spam spam

  10. That looks absolutely fantastic ric, wow,i would never have thought of using corned beef but I shall definately have a go at it now…thanks for these fab videos ric👍

  11. I’m going to send this to all my Italian freind, he’ll have a heart attack but they stole the idea of pasta from the orientals anyway and the Chinese probably were shocked when they saw the Italians putting tomatoe sauce on pasta 😂 . I’m also going to give this version a try. Looks awsome. Many great recipes were Invented by necessity resulting in substituting what you have to have to hand…. Kedjeri springs to mind… even though I have no idea how to spell it. Love the fast bechemel.

  12. That looks delicious and is definitely something I’d try. But what’s really going to stick with me from this video are the two new practical things I learned: an easier way to make bechamel and a better way to tent a dish with foil. 😊 BTW, I made your rumbledethumps last night and really enjoyed it, the leftovers for breakfast this morning.

  13. Made it. Strangely the tinned beef taste is not so overwhelming. Family ate it. I added a few herbs and things i put in my usual ragu.

  14. Rik looks amazing going to try this one for sure. I have a tin of corn beef in the cupboard that I normally do chilli and garlic meatballs in a tempura batter. But shelve that going for this recipe 👍🏻
