  1. In the city of Leiria , you have a sandwich ( big one ^^ ) that no exist elsewhere It is called Sandes á 32 the store is named " Café 32 " you should try

  2. French fries? Most Portuguese dishes don't come with fries they are usually served with rice, boiled or roasted potatoes. Is called "Carne de Porco Alentenjana" not "porco alentejana" That would be almost like calling someone from Alentejo a pig 🙂

  3. Portuguese food is GOOD, but, being real, just no way "the best in the world"……not even a question….

  4. You forgot to mention Amêijoas à Bulhão Pato, a Portuguese delicatessen seafood dish.

  5. As a portuguese i can say you are amazing, thanks for sharing our culture keep going 💪🏻 with your videos do not forget to go to our islands

  6. Só coisas boas. Não te esqueças das percebas, um marisco muito apreciado em toda a costa. E claro também, as tripas a moda do Porto.

  7. No vegan shit, even the traditional deserts are made of eggs and sugar, if you want to be a vegan in Portugal you have to drink wine(it's not vegan) and eat grapes seasoned with olive oil. If you want to be a pussy and desrespect everyone Portugal it's not for you. The same way freedom should be enjoyed, the lack of famine sould be too.

  8. as a portugueseman who's kept up with your channel for a while it's really cool to see how your pronounciation of portuguese has evolved!

  9. I will put many Portuguese dishes up against any other cultures dishes any time any day as long as the correct & proper measurements of ingredients are used & prepared by some one who really knows how to cook , people like my grand mothers & their friends along with my mom who learned from them these are cooking styles that have been the same way for many generations,,, People here in North America have no clue what the best cuisine on Earth is well its Portuguese ,, over here most go crazy for pizza , pastas on top of pastas & so on :)) when my friends eat my moms Portuguese cooking they float around in the air , around here if you don't eat at a true Portuguese home either from Azores, Madeira or main land Europe Portugal you are not really eating the best of Portuguese cuisine, The few Portuguese restaurants we have are never as good with our dishes, they might have one or two dishes half decent but that's it, but when in any place in Portugal there is way more constant with good quality Portuguese food , may it be on the islands or in mainland .. I have Italian, English, Scottish, Spanish, Serbian, Croatian , Polish , Indian, Asian , Arab & other cultures of friends here & they are always in tune to when we here at the house are cooking real Portuguese old time dishes ,, the best 🙂 & don't forget its not just the Portuguese cuisine that's way underrated but the Portuguese wines, white or red are to, & the deserts & cheeses & breads & smoked, cured meats & on & on & on… all this talk about food made me hungry , going to open myself a can of Portuguese spicy Sardines which by the way Portuguese canned sea food is some of the best if not the best around also… bom apetite amigos-as 🙂 cheers … great upload meu amigo Dave :))

  10. Tappas Caffé Régional is always the place I advise people who wants to eat a really good Francesinha

  11. Great video! We've definitely enjoyed tasty meals and bakery items on our visits to Portugal. Our experience last time was: Bad service at "Postigo da Carvao" in Porto, but amazing Bifanas at "Conga!" In Vilamoura, we were treated rudely and served black olives out of a can at "Rare Steakhouse," but, I can highly recommend "Restaurante Ostra D'Ouro." "Taberinha do Manel" in Nova de Gaia was wonderful and so was the "Delfim Douro Hotel" in the Douro Valley where delicous suppers are included with your stay. Unfortunately, we missed "Brasao Aliados" in Porto and "Ramiro's" was closed when we were in Lisbon. Next time!

  12. Great video,
2 of my favorites not mentioned:
1-Polvo Grelhado, 2- ARROZ DE PATO (love this dish).

    Cheers

  13. Very good video but that one of associating the slice of "chouriço assado" in your "caldo verde" with cancer is out for lunch!… It may depending on so many factors that you'll never know unless you just eat grilled aromatic organic compounds (nitrosamines)! But saying that without qualifiers is misleading!

  14. I'm living in Portugal for 3 months now. As for me it's the worst European cuisine. No spices, no salt, everything bland, everything contains eggs. Just boring.

  15. Bifana is always Pork. I have never been served or even heard of a Leitão Bifana. Whoever told you that made that up 😉 It's a rule, Bifana = Pork, Prego = Cattle

  16. Sou português e vegetariano, mas digo que vale a pena comer estes pratos. Se é para comer animais que seja assim 😅
