I would have told AJ to pound sand and walked out.

I thought it was weed they were smoking, not crack!! Lol

Just a thought, maybe I’m wrong.

Pulled pork at a BBQ joint is the wrong choice. It’s cheap AF to make. It’s really hard to screw up. It’s easy to make at home. It’s never (to me) that AWESOME like ribs and brisket.

There are much better values than pulled pork.

That’s BBQ in Colorado for you.

Texas doesn’t have good smothered breakfast burritos Colorado doesn’t have good BBQ.

  5. My choice to no longer eat at BBQ restaurants in the place I love remains validated.

Pulled up there menu and pricing…..

    $14 x2 for the meat
    $6 x2 for sides
    $40 total

    Beer and soda $20?

  7. That better be pulled pterodactyl and include the sauce bottles on the table.

  8. And you fucking paid it?

I’d have laughed in the cashier’s face. Turn my happy ass around and walked to the nearest fucking McDonald’s in order to McRib at those prices.

    $61?

Where I’m from $61 will get you 3 lb of chopped pork, a whole chicken, a pint of Mac and a pint of beans.

It’ll get you three BBQ plates with three meats and two sides each.

Hell you hit up a side of the road joint? It’ll get you 5 whole chickens and a side of beans.

  9. I call absolute bullshit and want to see the receipt on this one and if you did in fact, pay $61 for that you are an absolute moron, sir.

So two uneven piles of shitty looking pork. What did they expect you to do with it? Go on Yelp and give them the review they deserve.

I’m sorry but if the prices were shown to be that high why did you stay and order?

  12. What was 61 dollars? Just that? Tell the truth how long after were you hungry again?

  13. Retired_Chef_Mark

Did it include a visit to the back room to enhance the “getting screwed over” experience?

For $61 you could smoke an entire whole brisket, even two of you catch a great sale.

That would also get you close to 30-40 POUNDS of bone-in pork shoulder. That’s enough to feed your entire street, maybe the neighborhood.

  15. Denver is such a rip off I’ll literally never go back there

  16. Good, reasonbly priced BBQ joints are so few and far in between. So glad I started learning how to do this at home.

  17. Wow! You know how many pork butts you could get for that price? Drinks in a can?

Everything is expensive in Colorado. Not just BBQ, everything.
