  3. What could i use instead of aquafaba?? Are you using it for your egg substitute? Could egg replacer work do you think? I want to make it now and can't be arsed to go shopping for chick peas but i do have ground chia or egg replacer!! I'll try the egg replacer and report back, the caviar idea is absolutely genius!!!!! I used to love eating it before with squeeze of lemon so cant wait to try this out xxx

  5. Actually, instead of quinoa, use amaranths! I believe they are also a type of grain… I don’t think they are seeds. But the texture is going to freak you out! They feel like fish eggs! They pop and everything! People love seasoned cod eggs in Japan and they often make cod egg pasta. We use amaranths for vegan version of cod egg pasta. I really hope someone tries this. Their texture is great.

  8. You could also buy Caviart, it’s vegan caviar made from seaweed and the taste is very similar! It’s so good

  11. Excellent video and recipe. I have never tried the non-vegan Caviar but I am glad that I can try the vegan version because I never intend to eat the non-vegan caviar and any animal products again.

  12. I can’t imagine what it tastes like because I’ve never eaten caviar before! I heard that it pops with a salty water pop when you bite into it, the thought always and still does freak me out, but this sounds intriguing Lauren!   13. I always use chia seeds for my vegan kaviar – so no heat needed. Besides that those are not blinis those are aladushki 🙂 blinis are similar to crepes
