Special Venetian Pork Chops
Ingredients
• 2 boneless pork chops
• All purpose flour (enough to coat the pork chops)
• 1 egg mixed in with 1 TBSP of water, beat together with a fork.
• Breadcrumbs (enough to coat the pork chops)
• Oil for frying (vegetable oil or similar)
• 1 ½ cups white vinegar

Process
• Place pork chop between 2 sheets of plastic and pound until thin, and about double in size
• Coat pork chops in flour, both sides, then in the egg wash, then cover in breadcrumbs both sides.
• Heat oil in a frying pan to about 350 – 360 deg F
• Place pork chops in hot oil, keep stove set to med/high and fry for a couple minutes. Flip over and fry the other side for a couple of minutes, or until the pork is cooked through.
• Remove pork from the pan and set aside. Drain the oil from the pan and then return the pork chops back to the pan – add the white vinegar and continue to cook on med/high for a minute on each side.
• Remove and serve immediately.
• Enjoy

  1. I made the Capicola, and it was amazing. I love Italian cuisine. Thank you for sharing your recipes. Have a nice day!

  2. When you added the vinegar, I gasped! They looked SO good before the vinegar. I looked at the restaurant link you included and their menu said they use "wine" vinegar, not *white…? I'll have to try and see which one I prefer. Thank you

  3. I love watching ‘feeding Phil’ and as luck would have it I have pork chops in my fridge. Gonna try this tomorrow. Thank you.

  4. Well Ivo…More than "Veneziano" quello e Milanese… 300 Million of people call that "MILANESA".
but we are Italians and we know the truth…(probably is Greek!!) LOL!
    Good job.

  5. Interesting! Back in the late '80s outside the air base in Sicily I was at was a lunch time food cart "The Chicken Man". He served a grilled chicken panini that was unbelievable! I always thought it was a lemon flavor I was getting but, I think now it was vinegar?! I think I might give it a try, at the worst I ruin a chicken breast.

  6. I make sopressata successfuuly every year, but i tried your capicola recipe and it came out perfect. I have a beverage frig and use that with a small USB humidifier for the sopressata and capicola.
